I've made quite a few diaper cakes in different shapes and sizes, I always wrap the roll in the centre with gift wrap first so that when it's disassembled it looks more attractive. I also use coloured string or thin ribbon to keep diapers in place and take the rubber bands off.

Thank you for this video. Very informative. Also, this design was similar to one I need and I thought this diaper cake looks elegant. Question: many people use the confetti paper strips around the edge. Can someone tell me how it i held down or stays on? Also, I made three diaper cakes in early 2019, one rule was to never put glue on a diaper to do ribbons but on.nother video from another person, she put glue on each diaper to place the ribbon around each layer. Anyone else have suggestions for that? I am making two diaper cakes this month. Thanks .

I would suggest taking your cost and multiplying that by two. That is the amount I would typically charge for the diaper cake to make it worth my time so it will vary. I do not have a definitive pricing answer as quality diapers, faux florals and other embellishments can be very costly.

June Lee I wish I could! This was made 2 years ago so I wouldn’t be able to tell you the exact amount. I start with 5-6 diapers around the tube for the first layer and I keep adding until it appears full and even. One important thing I’ve learned about making these cakes is that there is no magic number of diapers! Depending on the diaper size and brand, each cake will form a bit differently. But if you do plan on making one this size you need to have at least 100 or more diapers to complete the project.
