Hey guys! I'm getting a lot of questions about the flowers I used. Unfortunately I don't know where they're originally from because I got them second hand from a friend and she bought them second hand as well. I did pick up some extra flowers from Michaels, Walmart, and the Dollar Store for extra little details. Also try checking in your city for used wedding decor facebook groups! Often people sell their decor for really great prices, and you can rework it into something that suits you! Hope this helps XO

Thank you! :) I think the flower boxes were my favourite... they'd even be cute home decor!
@aseeshera59987 жыл бұрын
Erin Elizabeth True they remind me of those rose flowers you see. That come in a box and they stay alive for a year. But their also £50-£100.
@Lovechannel21486 жыл бұрын
thats because nothing about this is diy.... 1st one, didnt make any of the flowers, bought the tablenumbers, even just bought the box and the flowerholder.... its ikea diy, but definitely not the real deal. would have liked to see them actually make something, like diy box with diy flowers as a centrepiece. its pretty, but its not that do it yourselfy

Wow I'm so surprised by how beautiful those flowers turned out! I'm such a fan of real flowers, and I was kinda opposed to using fake flowers for my wedding, but after seeing how elegant and beautiful your centerpieces came out and the welcome sign, using fake flowers is something I might consider! I also really really loved the idea of the Bucket List with the sign in guest list. Such a fun and creative idea!!

At the bridal shower they had no idea I made everything & they loved it all also want to use the bottles I made for the actual wedding deciding on the other decorations I made! It just makes no sense to spend money on things that can be made looking beautiful

Very nice work. I have to admit I am not a big fan of artificial flowers especially when Costco has roses under a $1 each. And wowI got some that opened up like a garden rose - just amazing. The trick was giving them a "blow job" a technique delicately to force them open and then we got four SUV's; parked them in the direct sun and put the flwoers in and themagic allowed them to open - wow.

I saw on the first episode of cheapest weddings, one of the bride's bouquets kept falling apart using the method of the bouquet foam thingy. Might wanna mention not to cut the stems too short so that it will hold in the foam thingy.
@byerinelizabeth7 жыл бұрын
Oh no way! Guess it depends on the foam too! My friend used them for her wedding and it was fine, but I just had them in the centrepieces so I didn't really have to worry too much. A glue gun would always be a safe bet to make sure they don't go anywhere!
@lishamishakisha7 жыл бұрын

@katyb2793 Жыл бұрын
@@byerinelizabeth I agree, you can put a bit of glue at the base of the stem before you put it in the foam. Florists actually do this with real flowers and glue made specially for flowers, for instances when the foam is very short or something like a special cascade bouquet holder.
