This helped me so much. Especially the 2 tips mentioned: 1) massage only once or twice a week- I used to massage everyday and it was uncomfortable and time consuming. 2) keep the plugs in the first one or two weeks after stretching. I used to open the plugs and start massaging it was so uncomfortable until I've decided that i dont take out the earing until feel comfortable taking it out. And indeed it was 2 weeks after the stretching and I thought I am doing it wrong. Thanks for the video !

nutica102 Sorry if this is a stupid question but after a fresh stretch you left your plugs in for 2 weeks, in this time did you do sea salt soaks ?

@@Jade-5713 it is not a stupid question at all, I have stretches my ears to 8mm a week ago, it was not painful the stretch itself but during the day my ear lobes were warm and painful a bit but that is normal to happen, I didn't touch my ears nor sleep on that side for 2 days. Now a week and half after I feel great no pain and soon I will take it off and clean my ears well and massage once or twice a week with oil. I have never tried to soak my ears in water with sea salt but try to see if it helps, soaking helped me a lot with the inflammation and healing process of my labyrinth piercing. I was soaking my lip daily twice a day for weeks until it healed perfectly but with the ears I feel it is simpler

I usually take my plugs out in the shower and clean my ears and plugs with only warm water, I'm a bit cautious about using my body wash to clean them, then I use that waxy stretching balm on my ears before I stick them back in. Seems to work pretty well. I do it just about every day. It's probably not necessary, but I want to keep them as healthy as possible. I rushed things and didn't maintain things well when I stretched my ears as a kid and it didn't work out like I thought it would. I waited 20 years to try it again as an adult and have taken it slow and followed up on the aftercare and it's been a much better experience.

If that routine works for you then it works just fine! It's good that you're taking all the steps and precautions to stretching now as an adult because those previous mistakes could potentially make stretching now more difficult 😓Do you have a goal size or are you kind of playing things by....ear?

@@Urbanbodyjewelry I just sized up to 1g about a week ago after stretching for like a year and a half. 2 to 0 just wasn't gonna happen. I went big as a kid, but now I think I'm gonna stop at 0g. 1g plugs look good with my 6g septum piercing. I'd keep it here, but there aren't many jewelry options at 1g. I've always been a fan of smaller plugs. Everyone likes big ones, but a small plug made out of a unique material is cooler..at least in my opinion.

I recommend that you wash your ears with soap and water. After that, massage your ears until your earlobes absorbed the oils. Massaging your ears everyday helps with elasticity and skin healing.

i have hade stretched ears for about 12 years. Just above 1 Inch.. I use only tunnels/plugs made of wood because is breaths and abrorbes moist or something .. if i have metal the ears get itchy and red , with wood nothing .. and in my 12 years i have never oiled or massaged my ears, dont see any reason to ... I just take em out and clean them , like once a month if eaven that . wood / horn / bone is the shit .

They dont downsize right away. Downsizing is typically a long process. Ofc everyones different but for me i lost my 10mm plugs and i didnt get any for two years and my ears were at 6mm.

So I started stretching my ears 5 years ago, I got upto 0g in approx 4 months because I was stupid and impatient. I had a minor "blowout" on one side with no spillage but I had to go back down to a 4g and haven't touched them since then. My goal has always been 1 inch and I want to get there the safe way, but my question is can I do that if I didn't stretch safely to begin with? Or has enough time passed that my ears would be well and truly healed? When I take the 4g plug out it only looks slightly pulled in/shiny around the edges and if I pull down on my plugs I can see a gap through them.

i think that you're good to go. just go slowly this time, and use lube/oil when using tapers. give your ears enough time to heal from each stretch and you wont have any blowouts.

Sleeping with nothing on. Check a video on ear training here on youtube. But I sleep without my plugs, my ears wake up very healthy and the plug goes on in the morning with no problems

as long as theres no pain you should be good just continue cleaning; preferably with a sea salt solution with the proper salt to water ratio

I do. It just sets the tone as you move up. Post cleaning just make sure to oil them a little.

Hey I just heard from a 2 gauge 6mm to a 1 gauge 7mm and there's a little bit of bleeding but it doesn't look like a blowout do you have any advice? Also should I be taking them out to clean them more frequently because they're irritated or should I leave them in and not mess with them because they're irritated?

There should NEVER be blood! You've torn your ear,downsize asap and wait for it to heal hopefully you haven't damaged your ears to the point you won't be able to stretch again

tea tree oil is kinda too strong to be putting on ears in my opinion but you can dilute it with water if you really want to

You don't have to stretch your ears if you don't want too. Once you stretch to 00 you're at the point of no return and your ear lobes won't close.

what does it mean/what do i do if i just stretched to a 14g and my ear is normally sore, but two days later, my stretching tunnel goes all the day through the hole? i heal fast, so my ear is already at 14g but it’s still sore, and then this happens. my left ear was already at 14g (ive had my first loved done a little under fifteen years ago, they street he’s a little over time) but the tunnel won’t go through. it’s only my right. help?
