Tip for loading the slow feed hay net: get a clean garbage can or similar sized bin. Place the net inside the can/bin like you would put a garbage bag into a garbage can and pull the top edges of the net way down the outside of the can/bin (so the bottom of the net is pulled up to the top of the can/bin). Place your flakes into the can/bin and allow gravity to pull the net down into the can along with the flakes. Pull the opening rope together and ta-da! Hopefully that makes sense. I use slow feed nets for my horses and this is the easiest way to load the nets that I've found.

Thanks for showing that Gallagher. I've been curious about it. Watching you use it has convinced me to stick with my sheep netting.

the new Gallagher wire is more advanced than the wire you have - it is designed in New Zealand and we don't get your amount of snow in our farming area's as you guys do in the US - 1936-1938 hot wire fences was designed in NZ - Gallagher is another NZ world wide product

Austin, Check out the feeders on Lumnah Acres. Better than betting which sheep will eat!

What like to do is put a little peanut butter on the wire, which almost guarantees they will get a good contact zap.

Nice video. Why is it not a year round product?

I understand getting sheep but why so many? Does some of the meat go to family members? If so how kind and thoughtful. More animals is exactly what your homestead needs. The family is wonderful with the livestock.

Awesome. Video. I’m thinking of getting sheep and was looking for a video on this subject. We don’t have a dog, do you think an electric fence would be enough to keep sheep contained and predators away if the sheep are kept in a more secure enclosure at night?
