The hard part for me is dosing the right amount of coffee. No matter how much coffee I put in, the Opus gives me whatever it feels like. And I'm always left with a mound of coffee that is way above the rim of the basket, which makes it difficult to tamp without making a huge mess. Gah... I need to start weighing my coffee AFTER grinding.

Do u not weigh your beans before putting it in the grinder?

Put portafilter on scale. Hit 'tare'. Dispense grounds into basket. Spoon out excess grounds till you've got the weight you want.
