There's a trader in Italy, Antonio Torre who trades the Stacey Burke way and he makes this point exactly as the basis for a FGD or FRD is the pullback inside after a break of the daily level. @@jamiewardle6537 Yes if you are trying to find the setup for a reversal trade such as a FRD, FGD which are basically a reversal following three pushes lower or higher. The whole premise of these trades is that once there is a break higher or lower of a daily level then a PF is then formed at that daily level once there is a pullback inside.

Another very important point just struck me when I re-watched the video. The opening range on Monday will either be INSIDE OR BREAK A LEVEL. Tuesday initial balance will either BREAKOUT or FORM A HH or LL. Wednesday will RETEST A LEVEL INSIDE or COIL.

I know you say it all the time, everything on the inside is a fugazi. But it just clicked for me after marking all highs and lows of the previous day. Big moves take place on the outside. And using the Asia range with it gives a good understanding of the setup occuring. I was just trading Wednesday and Friday but I'm gonna go hard every day this week.

I noticed that on friday usdchf, after the hh inside that you mentioned,the market soldoff to lod and gave e second entry long bull pinbar which was the best signal bar of the day, because it's range extension ended up below the top of range giving the to most of traders the edge to enter, that was the reason of the explosion in my opinion

Hello Stacey thank you for all the information you put out there! I have a little question. Sometimes you talk about a range expansion and sometimes you talk about a session trade. How do you know if the trade will be a session trade or a range expansion. Is it based on if it is with the trend or against, based on how much and how tight is the consolidation or something else? I am asking because i feel i am thinking too often it will be a range expansion when it would be a session trade or a nail and bail. Thanks again for all the efforts you make for your community ! :)

If you are going through your charts and marking off the initial consolidations, if wanting to go long get a vertical measure the height of the initial consolidation and mark off another two measures of the consolidation higher. For shorts take the height of the initial consolidation and mark off two consolidation heights lower. If it doesn't fit the 200% range expansion from the initial consolidation then sometimes a 100% range expansion will give a better price target.

Help! I'm missing something on peak formations. In the USDCHF teaching, why is the higher high on Tuesday (22:05) not a PFH after it forms? It seems to be just as valid as the PFH formed on Thursday (23:15). Is it because Tuesday was the first HOD break meaning that the Tuesday high has to be broken to form a PFH which does happen on Thursday making the valid PFH? Hopefully, I just answered my own question but I am unsure. Thanks in advance.

@@ericfriebel If it is continuing to go lower after breaking a level and failed to pullback inside then it is not a peak formation low it is just a low that is still breaking out lower. The peak formation low is the false breakout which looks like breaking out but pulls back inside instead, trapping traders who thought it was continuing lower.

@@ericfriebel So for the setup to be complete there has to be BOTH a PFH and a PFL in place so price can not go higher or lower and gets jammed into a consolidation between the two and eventually explodes out of the consolidation it has been restricted to being in.

Can someone explain what he is looking at when he says higher high / lower low on the inside? 😅 I seem to be seeing both. Is he looking at the low directly after the peak formation or the one towards the end of the consolidation after a peak formation?

My understanding is that "inside" can mean inside the HOD and LOD levels as in "We broke out of the LOD and closed back on the inside." And, when used in the context of the larger move it means you are inside the move. Think of a large V that represents price action. It could be over several days or it could be over several hours. If price moves down and creates the low of the V, and then moves back up and breaks a HOD, you are now on the "inside". That is, your are on the inside of the V. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong or if I have missed any important detail.

Higher highs on the inside is the dump and pump template. Go back on any chart and have a look at what happens when you see a higher high inside the trading range. Lower lows on the inside is the pump and dump template. Go back over a few chart and have a look at what happens when you see Lower lows inside a trading range. Then go and have a look at what happens when you have three days of breakout traders in the market
