I find that having a percentage requirement of salt is easier to adapt to the amount of cabbage/veggies one has. 😊 And infusing it with Love adds to the benefits 💓

Can you add spices like pepper or do those mess up the fermentation process?

Yes you can add spices if you'd like. Some people like things like caraway seeds, dill, juniper berries for example. I like mine plain but it will ferment just fine with aome spices added to it!

I haven't been successful with sauerkraut yet, but I keep trying, haha! Maybe I will get those little nipple tops and see if that helps. Thanks for sharing!!
