I heard Rim likes to use very thin diameter fly lines when fishing this fly and all flies for that matter- something akin to today’s euro lines. Do you use a standard tapered line or are you also using a thin diameter line? I’m going to tie and try the rs2 during a pmd hatch tomorrow where the fish are extremely selective due to pressure and abundance of food. Recently these fish have been ignoring duns for the most part and are more often flashing about a foot below the surface. I’ve tried droppers on short segments of tippet such as soft hackles and nymphs both weighted and unweighted and have not yet cracked the code. Any suggestions on rigging/tactics?

Water was looking good today. Awesome tutorial. I think I may actually start tying my own flies. You make it look easy.

Sort of...I have a small BWO dry fly on in this video, which can be used as an indicator. I often dead drift or swing this fly though, using the fly line as an indicator or fishing by feel.
