Another great vid. One thing though Greg, there is a foot-launched star rating on RASP which you access by clicking the "Press for full parameter set" button, then it's right at the bottom of the list. It basically reduces the star rating by 2* if there's no wind (this maybe should be lowered to 1), and by 5* once the wind is something like 16 or 17mph. If it's in the 8-11 range then the star rating doesn't get reduced at all. The sailplane star rating allows for much stronger winds.

Any easy way to predict and thus avoid conditions that might lead to wave? The forecast a couple of days back looked perfect. RASP was giving 6mph SSW, with decent thermal updraft rates, high cloudbase, and a star rating of 5. However, on the hill it proved unflyable due to wave turbulence (lots of yawing and pitching with unpredictable, non-thermic lift, sink and drift). Reviewing RASP's "Wave Parameters" later that evening, I couldn't see anything that stood out for that day. Suggestions?

Quick question Greg - on the RASP forecast, how do you rate the overall usefulness of the star rating and star rating for foot launchers criteria? Not sure how much of an accurate indicator this really is for paragliding potential

Hi Greg, Can you explain how to best get all of the weather reports onto one link. is it best to set-up a new file say on the Desktop screen then add all of the weather sites to that. for ease of access. but what about putting them all into one screen page. I realise that this may seem a silly question. but some flyers can find it difficult to use Pc or laptops.
