Haha, thank you so much for your nice comment! I am glad you are learning a lot with our dialogues. I totally agree with you that this kind of conversational input is very valuable, but it needs to be carefully prepared like in our case. In the case of this A1.1 dialogue we have written it only using the grammar and vocabulary of the A1.1 level and also speaking with the proper speed for this level. This way we ensure that it serves as a perfect resource to slowly build a solid vocabulary base and improve the listening comprehension and as a consequence, also the oral expression. However, it is also very important to have a solid grammatical base. We are working on videos and courses for this aspect right now. Ich wünsche dir einen schönen Tag!! 😊

Here is another interesting fact: This dialogue was written by teachers who are teaching DaF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache = German as a foreign language) and therefore, it is perfectly adapted in terms of vocabulary and grammar to the A1.1 level. It was great fun to create this dialogue knowing that it would help many students at the beginning of their journey!

Thank you for your nice comment! 😊 Yes, that was the goal: we wrote this conversation only using the grammar and vocabulary of the A1.1 level. In terms of speaking speed we wanted to speak slowly, but not too slowly (so that it would be the perfect challenge for the level).

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! Yes, it can be beneficial to learn in small chunks ... we wanted to provide a full dialogue so that everyone could pick the quantity of input that is right for him. Some might want to listen to longer conversations, some prefer shorter conversations to focus on the details. What you can do is pause the video from time to time and process the information that you heard. You could also take notes while listening. There are many strategies depending on the aspect you want to improve. Is there anything in particular that you find difficult? I would love to give you some advice Have a nice day! 😊

Das ist fantastisch! 😊 This is exactly the idea of this video: provide a dialogue that has just the right difficulty level for students of the A1.1 level. It contains a lot of helpful vocabulary and you can see the grammar that you learn on the A1.1 level. I definitely recommend you to watch/ listen to this video several times and write down vocabulary. Then you can continue with our A1.2, A2.1 etc. dialogues ... we have a dialogue for each level!! This way you can gradually improve your German

From my own experience I know how hard the beginning is ... it can be frustrating because there are no adequate materials available which is why we created this dialogue, just for students on the A1 level with as much helpful vocabulary as possible. We also tried to include a lot of daily expressions like "Na" (=can have several meanings, in most situations it is used as a greeting between friends and means "hey"). I also recommend you to watch this video several times ... you will see how your listening comprehension improves. Have a great day!

And if you just started learning German, it is a good idea to slow down the audio to 0.75 - 0.9. Take your time, translate unknown words and try to understand the grammar behind it.
