No practice, straight onto the tee block this morning, 4.5 metre fade gone, 30mts consistent advantage gained, with Driver and Fairway 3 wood. Easiest and certainly the most effective golf lesson I have watched. Thanks Simon made my day and received a couple of accolades from my Golfmates . Keep presenting these easy to comprehend lesson Liam,.

Simon Edwards is a frigging genius! I took this lesson and applied it yesterday at the driving range, and I've never hit so good, solid, and long!!! The take away, and especially the grip pressure did it for me. I just never thought about the grip pressure. It's TRUE! When I relaxed, I hit the ball solid! If I tightened up, then crazy stuff happened (my old swing). FINALLY I have something I can practice, to make my swing better! Simon you're amazing! Too bad I live in the US, otherwise I'd sign up with Simon Edwards!!

In my experience as long as he gives you a method of instant feedback then the online lessons could be successful. I am using the alignment sticks and if you stop at the positions you get instant feedback. I am trying to be patient and take half swings or better yet do not use a ball. This way it’s about the swing and not how far or the direction you hit the ball. Mater the swing and everything will fall into place.

The last 3 years of golf for me have been full of ups and downs... I've watched countless videos, tried countless swing methods and thoughts... they all start well and then something comes off the rails. I tried this technique and it's the most comfortable swing thought I've felt in a long time and to me, comfortable can lead to repeatable. That's what I'm hoping at least. Thanks for sharing this.

Great simple lesson. A few years ago I spent a whole winter basically doing the same drill over and over and over. 5 slow motion then one normal swing. That year I played the best golf I’ve ever played. Of course I stopped doing it and my game has slowly gone backwards. Been doing this for last couple of weeks and strike has improved massively. It just takes patience and discipline as the temptation is to want to swing at full speed. Stick with it.

Dave the Rave pointed this (raising the handle) out to Liam years ago and he has never been able to stop it because I'm pretty sure Liam has no time for even a minimal amount of practice needed for a swing change but I always like his enthusiasm to make the change. Simon's approach to teaching is spot on.

Where is Simon based i need a lesson off him I'm in Manchester hopefully not too far . I've watched thousands of KZbin videos think I'm on to something then bang always back to over the top swing impossible to hit long irons I've snapped my driver over my knee I'm that fed up 😂 I've spent hundreds on lessons and I'm still useless!! The crazy thing is when I do hit a good shot my 7 iron goes 200 yards . This golf lark is the most addictive thing I've ever got into 😂😂 It gets me so mad but at the same time I love it lol . Around 2009 my boss, Jeremy Haigh a South African Pro, pointed out I was a Hitter of the ball as opposed to a Swinger. This was new to me. There're 2 types of golf swing. 1. Swinger 2. Hitter Rory is an example of a Swinger. Liam tends towards being a Swinger. This lesson is aimed at helping Liam be more of a hitter. Old School 🏫 ⛳️🤘👏

Fantastic lesson, what I also note when just trying this is that as I let the left arm come back down across my chest, this movement makes me transfer my weight and load my lead side causing a bump of my hips towards the target. No forcing of the hips needed. 👍

I love the simplicity of this swing. I've been thinking too much the last couple of years. This year I've been thinking of simplifying my swing. And this is exactly where I was trying to go. Just simply 1-2-3, start with a push with the Left arm, relaxed against the chest. Over then under to the ball. Stay balanced and the weight shift will come naturally.
@atraue7

Iv been doing that for years with the left arm. Seen a video of pádraig Harrington years ago and iv been doing it ever since. Made such a difference. I either hit it straight or draw left. Mostly straight.

Very easy way to understand the correct swing plane👍 I’m one of those that have always noticed the lift trigger of your swing Liam,not my place to mention it before. Using the lead upper arm to take the club away does so many good things. It helps keep you from rolling your weight to the outside of the trail foot. In the same way, the trail upper arm should be the driving force of the forward part of the swing. Consciously use the upper trail arm; you won't believe the power generated and the ease with which you square the clubface. Thank you Simon.
