For qn 11 we can solve by reverse method as follows. We are asked to find principal under 6% .we presume total 7000 is lent at 4% we get interest of 20 % of 7000 = 1400 But the interst received is 1600. The difference of 200 is due to 10 % of amount lent under 6% . So principal at 6% is 100% 10 times of 200 =200×10 =2000.by this way we may solve the problem with out using allegations method Though you are doing excellent way of teaching to cover the maximum question of all types for this problem the reverse method appears to be quicker .
