The video explains in detail how Web-of-Trust (WoT) is based on Asymmetric Cryptography, however unlike the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), the trust is not centralized. Instead, the trust is established through Distributed Trust establishment. The Video also explains how the trust is established and then leveraged for a transaction between two parties. The video also explains the key benefits and downside of using technologies like Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) which are based on Web of Trust.
