Your suggestion to improve the manufacturing process was spot on. Simple adjustment to fix the problem defect seen in operational use. Next time the strap breaks, use a dremel or file and do so yourself to assist going forward. And tef gel would be good if staying on weather-deck. I know posted 5 years ago, but great video and comments.

Great video!!! You did an awesome job of explaining every aspect of this seat. Funny thing, I'm going to use it in the exact opposite environment. A seat in a ice fishing shack!

Very nice tech video and I think what you’d to say, positive and negative, made a lot of sense. I haven’t read through the comments yet but I have the manufacturer watched and jotted down some notes.

I bought one of these seats for my boat because of this video. I liked the review. It is extremely comfortable! Thanks!

Awesome!! Sand those edges down a bit! Our new strap is lasting so much longer this time around.

Good review! (although a little longer than it needed to be to get your points across). The two biggest points: Radius those strap holes and take all the bolts out as soon as you get it and coat them before installing it. Looks like a good product and looking forward to a 'long term review' some time in the future!

My son is a fishing guide he has 4 of them in his boat. He has had them for 1.5 years and has good luck with them.

Seat looks good, lightweight, simple, no heat sink from cushions, the clear anodising is probably the only thing keeping the electrolysis at bay, i would tefgel/duralac all stainless fittings and definitely radius the strap guides to ensure prolonged life. Plenty of pedistal seat slides out there but when selecting one just got to consider the leverage experienced on such an elevated helm position, would advise heavy duty. Would appeciate an update on your rigging next time you do an indepth inspection.

If you haven't smoothed the edges yet, you might consider using a wire wheel on your angle grinder to buff that area. You will have smooth edges on a matter of a few minutes on all four edges.

I seen this video a year ago. I bought this seat because of this video a year ago. Love it so much I have two pro seats and one B100. However they were all suppose to be pro seats. Be careful buying off eBay from grizzlyjig

This is cool. I need a new helm seat. I was trying to buy your old one off you while I was in Stuart but you guys were already in the Bahamas. I already have a nice heavy duty pedestal mounted but the old seat and seat mount are missing. Are the bolt patterns universal you think?
@TulasTechTalk5 жыл бұрын
I do think they are universal. Although our pedestal mount I believe had a little flexibility in bolt position so I can’t say for sure.

Almost bought these seats but it really looks like those straps get in the way of everything you are grabbing for. Running a stick steer mod v pan fish boat those damn straps would be a major PITA. GRABBING for a pole with a strike, or a net... not good. Too bad i like em.

Buy the cable straps and that eliminates that problem
