Enjoyed that thanks JB. I first got in to the Simple MInds when I was 13, in 1978. The British DJ, John Peel, had a late night show and he announced The Simple MInds as being formerly known as 'Johnny and the Self Abusers.' The song he played - which was my first time hearing The Simple Minds was Love Song. I liked it straight away and it was the start of my journey with this Scottish band. The first album of theirs that I bought was New Gold Dream and despite having most of the band's albums, on vinyl and CD, New Gold Dream is still my favourite for it's warm tones and great original sound. I saw The Simple Minds live three times and loved it. They were 'my band' for years. Not so much these days but hearing your reaction does invoke old feelings and I thank you for the reaction, Tony :-)

I am really enjoying all your reaction videos and coming on this journey with you. I am a little younger than you by the sounds of it I was born in 1997 and I myself have managed to grow up with these songs thanks to my parents influence, I am so thankful for that because I’ve managed to absorb so much of it. I can sing along to most of them and completely just dance. I suppose it also helps because I’m British and the influence is still all here in Britain, we still adore these songs, my cousins my sister and I still dance to these at family parties. The reason I am enjoying coming on this journey with you is because you give me a fresh and different perspectives on the songs as I feel I too take for granted the influence they have had on my life and my childhood. Thank you so very much ❤️

I just selected 1974 on my Time Portal Machine, please be my guest to travel back in time. My mom was so shocked when she came in the living room (where everybody's stereos were if the family had one) to find out what the hell I was listening to. "Alice Cooper" I said and showed her the deeply strange album cover. "why does he have a girl's name" she asked looking freaked out and I said "I don't know" but I knew it was somehow an avant garde stroke of genius. The music that was happening then was kind of a miracle and I still marvel that I born when I was (1961) and where I was (Vancouver). I hit the jackpot and I know that. Get your time suit outfit on and meet me at the Time Portal!! There's room for everyone who wants to come along. PS Don't You (forget about me) is a defining song of the early 80's and I enjoyed your reaction very much, thank you.
