Oh me too. As much as I have repect for Charlie and Jim, SM have been hollowed out and it shows. Everything went massively downhill once Mick left in 1990. They could cover up for Derek's loss (just about) but after losing Mick, then Mel Gaynor...it breaks my heart.

I was blessed slightly at one time in my life and the only album I had from these Scottish lads was New Gold Dream ,and nothing else was as perfect as a Progressive SynthPop album as NGD. The only track they didn't do at the 1 Show they played at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix fucking Arizona😮 I drove in my 73 Gran Torino from Prescott in the mountains, alone and watched these guys play with my face Smiling and Mesmerized at 18 yrs old 😊

My favourite band since 1976. And this is in my top 10 best tune from these Scottish guys ( very hard to choose though). Listening to this with my ear phones on is heavenly and fantastic for meditation 🙏

A perfect mix to an often underrated track on NGD. I remember seeing them play on this tour back in the day. This was the opening track as they started their set, after a great support act in China Crisis. Great times….😊

Is there any way of putting it on Qobuz or whatever? Absolutely effing great mixes! All of them. It is exactly what the minds music is attracting me so much since being a kid!

Thanks, mate! In order to publish a remix (on Qobuz or any other platform), the copyright holder needs to give their permission, which I haven't asked for and, thus, don't have. The mixes are too flawed to warrant official release anyway, since they're not based on the multi tracks. They need the videos (suspect themselves) to gloss over the rough edges.

You have to put things in context, this was when 99.9% of songs on the radio had drums, guitar, vocals , bass, and keyboards.......

You can hear where the “SFY” album was influenced from, and this was years before. Mick is such a textural player.

I agree with all the comments and appreciate the reverence in the origjnals and the way you somehow still take them to a higher plane. These sound somehow from their time but conversely bang up to date. Please keep doing these as they are clearly very nuch appreciated. Twist/Run/Repulsion (with a sprinkling of Scar and League of Nations) is your best yet, IMHO.
