I've been a huge Simple Minds fan for the past 35 years. The music has been uplifting and inspirational to me throughout my life. A hugely underrated band. Thanks guys.

I walk to meditate. And whilst walking I hear songs and poetry also. It quietens my mind enough to hear them. And nature is such an inspiration. If I had to choose one person to talk to for the rest of my days it would be Jim Kerr. He is such an interesting and inspirational person. I can't imagine the conversation ever being dull or running dry. He has so many different aspects to him. And despite the success Jim and Charlie still remain two people with their feet on the ground. Which makes them gold dust.

He's not kidding about the "walking" part.These guys are serious walkers..My wife and I were camping in the snow way back in about 1992. Just north of Crianlarich at a place called Connonish,when Jim and Charlie came walking by our tent very early in the morning. They were recording nearby and had came out for a Sunday morning stroll..More of a serious hike to be honest but they stopped and took the time to chat about Van Morrison,Nick Drake and John Martyn..Not only real walkers but real music guys as well..To top that experience we met them a year later at Edinburgh airport and they recognised us and came over and had a chat..Just wonderful human beings,both of them..

Watching this makes me yearn to go back to Scotland immediately. "This is your land..". sadly it isn't mine, I'm just a bloody lowlander (Dutch), but I've fallen for Scotland like a shy maiden for Casanova. A love affair that started with Simple Minds and the early Marillion (when Fish... you know), two bands I'm still a fan of. The best of luck and happiness! Cheers from the Netherlands.

As a life long fan of Simple Minds me and my wife celebrated my 25 year anniversary in Jims hotel Villa d'Angela. Taormina was fantastic! What a nice place to stay and the people working in Jim Kerr's hotel Villa Angela were outstanding. His staff is very professional , the service is outstanding, very friendly and very helpfull to everyone!. One of the best holiday experiences I ever had. Jim can be proud of the hotel and the staff. And Sicily has the best food, and beautiful landscape. We will go back for sure.

Happy New Year Simple Minds. Me and my late partner saw you in Bridlington 2017 and we loved the concert. Knowing you were touring again Diane booked to see you in Leeds 2018. Sadly she passed suddenly on Christmas Eve. Me and a good friend still went and yes the weather was shocking but we still loved every minute of it. Then when you started singing Waterfront I knew Diane would be up there singing along with you and the fans, loving everything. Hope you come back to Leeds or Bridlington one day. Thankyou
