❤ I am 67 years old and have been putting together oils for my face to stay away from chemicals for a short while now. I live in a lot of pain since a failed hip replacement adding on protruding discs in spine and arthritis. I feel I have much inflammation in my body and I have been saying for years the food and water is killing us. I live in a very large city in Az and I so want out, ha! I have been looking for affordable living in the country in the mountains for years and most everything taken up by airbnbs so no luck there yet. I pray always about it because I need my life to be healthier and pain free. I’m not trusting doctors as they have failed me so much so looking for a way to change my own habits. I feel so grateful to have come across your channel. I’m on a very low fixed income so cannot afford much so am trying to come up with a low cost way to live healthy. ❤My situation is not quite as challenging as yours, but I can sure relate. I had a hip replacement that was successful, but I have bad arthritis in my other hip and in my back. I am using as many natural supplements for it as possible. I am trying to avoid another surgery. I turned 70 this past October. I live on limited income as well. I will pray for your situation.

Kimberly, I am in the same boat as you. I am 67 and live in the city. I live with constant back pain. I stopped wearing most make-up because of all the chemicals. I do believe our government is killing us by tampering with our food supply. I am a vegetable lover and planning to do some vegetables in pots this year. I started using oils on my face and body. People now tell me I have beautiful skin. I will pray for your pain and health. Maybe we can’t all live in the country but we can make healthier choices as “city” gals!

❤ Love this! As a tip for anyone who, like me, finds their skin unhappy with using just a face oil, I make cold cream and it’s super easy and effective. I use it to cleanse and remove makeup, wipe that away with a warm washcloth, and then spritz Rosewater and apply some fresh cold cream as my moisturizer at night. In the morning I don’t cleanse but just spritz and moisturize again. I find it does double duty as a beautiful makeup primer. 😊 1/4 tsp Borax 1/4 C Rosewater 1/2 C oil of choice (I use sweet almond personally, I’ve also broken the 1/2 C up into blends at various times) 2Tb beeswax pellets 5-6 drops essential oil of choice, optional Dissolve the borax in the Rosewater and then heat to almost boiling Heat the oil and beeswax until until melted and clear Slowly pour the water into the oil blending with an immersion blender the whole time until it turns glossy white and thickens. Pour into a jar with a lid, cool to room temperature and then add in essential oil if you so desire.

Yes, the borax serves as a natural preservative (on that note, you must use a hydrosol like rosewater or else distilled water; tap water will leave you with all sorts of yuckies growing in your cream) and it also is a necessary component in the chemical reaction to emulsify the oil and water. I don’t fully understand all the ins and outs but I know it has to be there! And yes, it’s the same borax you use in laundry. hope you love it as much as I do! I’ve been making it for about five years now and I’m never going back to using soap on my face!

And thank you for mentioning seed oils and diet in this wonderful video….I used to burn in the sun so easily, about 45 days after I removed all seed oils from my diet I noticed I didn’t burn as easily….now, two years later my skin doesn’t burn at all (note: I don’t stay out for hours on end without sun shirts or sun hats, this is just off my usual sun exposure routine as that did not change at all, just my diet improved). I refuse to eat anything with seed oils and as a result now make 90% of our food and snacks from scratch. I'm 72 and have followed your channel for a few years. I don't get notifications, so sometimes I have to remember to look to see what's new. I'm trying to work on all of the areas, skin, hair, simple living etc, but it's difficult as I can't drive anymore (macular degeneration), and live in an HOA neighborhood that doesn't really have any nature that's not contrived. I do love hearing birds in the morning and my Granddaughter has an app where we can listen to the birds and the app tells us what they are - such fun. I'm now using a jojoba and frankincense mix as my moisturizer and/or a frankincense/tallow cream (I love the smell of francincense). I grew up spending summers on a farm, so your videos hit home for me (peace and quiet and simple living). I totally believe the food, pharma and skin care products are the cause of 100% of our issues. I'm on meds and would love to get off. I've just ordered a few products recommended by the last couple of videos I've watched. Thank you for all you do. Your sister in Christ. Just joined Tea with Lea too.

I loooooove castor oil. I think my skin gets dried out easily. I mix it with tallow every day and sometimes on my body as a lotion. So luxurious! Love your channel and I'm with you about sunscreen. Funny enough, I stopped eating seed oils for the most part and in general, I cook everything at home, and even living at a high altitude, I've stopped burning so easily!
