Thanks for your prompt reply. I have started watching your videos on thrips. In your other video on bringing life to dying rose plants you have used certain items like humic acid, saaf, Epsom salt etc. I just wanted to know whether these are chemicals or organic. Because I have not used any chemicals for my plants so far, can you please clarify on this will be thankful to you sister
@GardeningDiary3 жыл бұрын
Not organic
@c.rajendranchinnasamy89293 жыл бұрын
Sorry ; Humic acid is organic in nature and Epsum Salt is inorganic ( It's chemical formula is Mg.So4 - ie Magnesium Sulphate.).

Hi sister if we use the items you mentioned can we get rid thrips from rose plants. My rose plant is infected by thrips which we found very late due to other reasons I did not note the plant. 1. I want to know how many days once do we need to give pesticide . 2. Should we give the same pesticide or different pesticides each day. 3. How many days gap should we give after the first shot. 4. How do we know that the plant is out of the attack. Will be thankful if you could clarify.

Mam...ur vedios are awesome...i live in trivandrum nalanchira...from which nursery garden u bought those seduction roses and calcutta 300...pls give a details...so that il also buy from there
@GardeningDiary4 жыл бұрын
Hello Shermila. Thank you so much for your feedback. Seduction rose is easily available throughout Kerala in any nursery. Just show them the picture and buy it. Calcutta 300, may not be always available in stock, they get few and it will go away quickly. I bought mine in a place called Thuckalay, Villukuri. It's national highway from Trivandrum to Nagercoil. There are two big nurseries on the road side. You can get Calcutta 300 from Tvm itself, just ask the nursery person by showing the pic, it's beautiful.

In Trivandrum, I have bought plants from Haritha nursery in Kazhakuttom. A person sells it on roadside in Kanniyapuram. Then near Ulloor.

Yellow leaves with brown/black spots is fungal attack. Remove all infected leaves from plant and pot. Then you should spray fungicide. Saaf is a good one. I wish to use organic pesticides and fungicide to my roses. Your video is helpful to initiate. My question is what are the chemical pesticide and fungicide used to control if the problem is severe. Stay safe. A viewer from Jaffna, Sri Lanka.
@GardeningDiary4 жыл бұрын
Hello Selvanayagam, So nice of you. I am well and thank you for your concern. Organic pesticides are good but not as effective as chemical products and we need to follow a strict regime with spraying. In India we I have seen folks usings products such as Imidacloprid, confidor etc. dimethoate and monocrotophos are good for Thrips. Some very good soil applications. 1. Pseudomonas - Anti Fungal 2. Trichoderma - Anti Bacterial 3. DAP Granules - Floral Enhancer
@selvanayagammuhunthan6314 жыл бұрын
@@GardeningDiary Thank you for the instant reply. We, Sri Lankans don't use organic pesticides or fungicide as you all apply, even our Agro service department never guide us to use organic products for gardening. That is one of the reasons for high level of cancer cases here. But organic farming and related matters are common headlines nowadays, that makes an awareness and alert here. Keep on posting. Your explanation is lively and practical. Well done. Take care.
@GardeningDiary4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the insight sir. I will keep this in mind in my future videos. Will encourage to use more organic pesticides as an awareness through my videos :). Have a nice day.

Hello Latha - Apologies for late reply. Are you in a hot place, roses cannot tolerate heat and act weird beyond 32/33. Ensure you water properly in the morning and mist or lightly spray early evening by 4/4.30. Heard people using alovera as foliar spray, I havent tried so cannot comment. When temperature reduces, they should be fine.
