i'm listening to simple plan for the first time in a few years and i gotta say, this is the lightest and the happiest i've felt in the past 3 or 4 months. this band has been such a positive influence in my life for so long. i have nothing but good memories. these songs helped me become who i am today, they make my chest feel warm and not big enough to fit my heart, that seems that grows 100x its size. thank you so much for sticking around and for making these hard times a little bit lighter with your light & heart & all-around greatness.

So many memories with this album :D I listened to SP everyday. It got me through a rough time in school and adolescence. When I turned 18, I went to see them play live. The show was so amazing that afterwards I instantly bought another ticket to the next show a few days later. If I could go back in time, I'd definitely go back to that first show. I'm usually not a fan of huge crowds but on this concert, it was totally different. When they played Jump and the whole room was jumping up and down at the same time it was so amazing! I don't have words to describe the energy in the room, but you definitely know what I mean because you've experienced it as well. Unfortunately, I had a severe accident so I haven’t been able to go to any concerts for a while but I hope one day I’ll be healthy enough to see you live again - even though I might not be able to jump ever again but I hope to at least be there and sing as loud as I can. Thank you, Simple Plan. Please stay home and stay safe. Best wishes from Cologne, Germany.

Why isn't pop punk rock still popular? It's so good!!!!
@devilsoffspring55194 жыл бұрын
Plenty of people still listen to it. It just isn't commercially hyped like it used to be. The stuff has been around for many years now and it's probably pretty safe to say it'll be around a long time, if not indefinitely. I first heard pop-punk sounding songs when I was a little kid, and I'm pretty sure the songs were older than I was. I'm almost 44 now, so that means that pop-punk sounding tunes have been around for nearly half a century.

Thaaaank youuu🔥 just a quick story, I was born the same day and year in which this album was released, for me it marked my life, I grew up listening to that same vibe of happy/sad pop/punk I've always love. I think about this album as a part of me in so many ways, I feel that the lyrics, the guitar and drums were all played and told to me, cause every single one of these songs are just how I am, how I feel, and how I see many things (and of course, all of these to a whole generation too)🔥 thanks💯

As someone who was 14 when this album came out and is now 32, it warmed the bottom of my heart to notice that almost the entire crowd was what looked to be 30-somethings. My big three bands in high school circa 2003-07 were Simple Plan, Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance. While it seems MCR still has street cred with today's emo youth, I'm happy to see a different vibe here. Lots of 30-somethings reliving the music of their youth. With lots of maturity and hindsight, I can say MCR was when you wanted to scare the adults, Linkin Park was when you wanted to lose your mind and Simple Plan was when you wanted your parents to understand you. They tackled teenage issues with lyrics that transcend generations and music that just won't leave. Well done boys.
@jessicapatton56352 жыл бұрын
Well said! Listening to SP is just like being 15 again…. Takes me straight back to being young and carefree and my big problem was that my parents didn’t get me….. and now their newer stuff is just as good so I can keep growing with them after all theses years. My brother committed suicide 13 months ago, Gone too soon hits me so hard. Every time. My 13 yr old daughter now listens to them and when she was assigned a project for English to write about song lyrics that mean something to you, she chose that song and wrote about her uncle. When you strip it down to the bare minimum, I love Simple Plan because their music is awesome…. But they are SO much more to me. My #1 Band forever!!! (I also love LP and MCR)
