എന്റെ സ്കൂളിലെ ഇംഗ്ലിഷ് ടീച്ചർ ഇതുപോലെ പഠിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ അന്നേ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് പഠിച്ചേനേ അറിവ് ഉണ്ടായാൽ മാത്രം പോര അത് മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് പകർന്നു കൊടുക്കാൻ ഒരു കഴിവ് കൂടി വേണം

സ്കൂളുകളിൽ മലയാളത്തിനും ഹിന്ദിക്കും മാത്രമായി അധ്യാപക postum അധ്യാപകരൂമുള്ളപ്പോൾ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഭാഷ പഠിപ്പിക്കാൻ മാത്രം അധ്യാപക പോസ്റ്റില്ല. സയൻസ് കണക്ക് മുതലായ വിഷയങ്ങൾ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അധ്യാപകരാണ് ഇംഗ്ലീഷും പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. അവർക്കാണെങ്ങ്കിൽ മറ്റുവിഷയങ്ങൾ പഠിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ കൂടെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് പഠിച്ചതിന്റെ അറിവ് മാത്രമേയുള്ളു. അത്തരം അധ്യാപകർ പഠിപ്പിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് അക്കാലത്തു high സ്കൂളിൽ പഠിച്ചിരുന്ന ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു തലമുറക്ക് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് സംസാരിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കാതെ പോയി.
