Simple Product I Use To Clean The Boat

Here's a look at how I keep my boat cleaning real simple. Just use ONE product to clean the entire cockpit - from the east to the dash a,d even the clear plastic panels on the canvas - I merely use a biodegradable dish soap!

Nice Paul. Just catching up on your videos after a busy work week. I would say that in brackish water like ours or salt water we’ve got some additional grime to deal with so I do need to use something with a little more kick to it. But I don’t clean as often as I should so it does build up more.

I fully understand and would agree. And as with yourself, I don't wash the outside of Boogaboo as often as I should - especially with the bird poop we are contending with in our covered slip...

My boats a 1997 sea ray which ive had for 6 months . It had been neglected a bit in the cleaning dept . Im using a few different things , like stanless steel cleaner and Gel coat polish. One day soon, it will be back to looking great, and then i will maintain it with the dishwashing liquid.

Stratoglass and the like are very insistant to use built for purpose clears cleaners, I’m thinking it’s pure value add marketing ?

Don't know what they might suggest, but we've been doing it this way for many, many years and it works for us.

I've tried pretty much every one of those and most of them are awful. Plexus is expensive for a reason, that one works. Although lots of water, a hint of soap and a good microfiber can go along way.

I will try that on my clears , my boat is older and needs some love , will use the dishsoap once they have been treated .
