Having full timed for a few years now, we carry a spray bottle of 50/50 water and Clorox. I spray the water faucet with it before and after when we leave. I have seen folks wash their sewer pipe up under the water faucet that you connect your fresh water to. These same people normally don't use gloves either and so their dirty hands are all over everything they touch. Also spray down the picnic table as well. We have seen people lay their sewer hoses, etc. across the table. Food for thought!

We had mice get in ONCE! Now we put a sticky mouse trap on the top of each tire of our motorhome, we use thumb tacks to secure. (No mean comments please). We put lights all around the motorhome to deter them before they try to get up the tires. We also use mouse traps next to all of our hoses to get them before they get in. We purchased a mouse repeller that hooked up to the engine compartment of the motorhome and one for our Jeep. And we use a variety of electric mouse repellers inside the motorhome! (So it’s rare that mice actually do get up on our tires.....but it occasionally happens). Instead of using fabric softener we use vinegar! Our clothes have no static electricity ⚡️ It’s also good for cleaning out the inside of your washer.

From an old biker... All living creatures on earth are predominately water. So to remove bugs, soak an old bedsheets in water, wring out (or not), drape over the front of your rv/trailer for a half hour or so and wipe off the bugs. Can even use the sheet to do it. Add a drop or two of dish soap when you soak the sheet and it breaks down the surface tension of the water and it seems to work even better.

First off, thanks for the videos, they're great. As far as tips go, if you don't have a level handy place a soda or beer can on the floor of the rig vertically and then horizontally. If it rolls in either direction you need to level until the can stops moving. For bugs, on your truck bumper and mirrors, dampen the area and then cover with plastic wrap. Once you're at your final destination, take off the wrap and throw it in the trash - no scrubbing required.

I found that by putting two 6" square unglazed tiles in the oven over the burner tube works like a pizza stone by dissipating the heat evenly. When traveling I take them out and keep them wrapped in a towel. For around $5 at Walmart I also bought an oven temperature thermometer so upon startup I can see what the oven's temperature really is.

One of the best tips I ever received concerns unhitching a 5th wheel. There have been times when I am unhooking the truck from the 5th wheel and I raise it just enough to see a small gap and then pull the receiver pin and it won't unhitch. I then have to raise a tiny bit to find the sweet spot. Aguy who parks them all the time once showed me that when that happens simply get back in the truck and put your foot on the brake move the transmission into neutral for a second and then back to park. The pin now slides out effortlessly. I don't remember why he said it works but it had something to do with taking pressure off of a part on the hitch. If you have had this problem try it, it works.

We use the same product that we use for the bug guts on our motorcycles. I got the trip from a motorcycle cop who said they use it to clean and polish their whole motorcycle fleet. It's called BUG SLIDE and it works absolutely great! Apply it the first time to the clean surface and the bugs don't even stick as much. After that, just spray on the buggy surface, wipe with a microfiber cloth, and voila, the bugs wipe right off!.

Love your tips. This may be outside your scope but some of us can't climb around like you do. I've watched your videos about maintenance (like this one) but I can't climb under my rig for lubes, up on my tailgate to clean my rig, etc. I've got an extension cleaner for the bugs and the bounce is a great tip, but other stuff is physically impossible for me. Aside from going into a dealer and paying an arm and a leg for this type of necessary maintenance, are there any alternatives? Thanks, watch all your videos and I have learned a lot!

I use a spray product called "Awesome". I used to use this stuff on my airplane to clean off bugs. It does hurt the aluminum on the plane. So I started using it on the front of the RV to remove bugs. It works well with a micro fiber towel. It's about $1.50 a bottle at the dollar stores.

Fantastic video with awesome tips... We have not tried the spray on wax you mentionedhowever just received a product called F11. Last weekend we washed and applied it to the RV. Not a big visible difference as our RV in only a year old but the feel of it was impressive, when you slide your hand over it now that it's been treated it feels like your are sliding your hand over a glass window, so so smooth. Have a great day and thank you for sharing your tips.

When driving through "bug country" wash out your radiator from behind and front (gently) they can clog up between the radiator fins and make your vehicle run warmer than it should.

Wash your dishes in a plastic dish tub instead of the sink then when finished pour your soapy water down the toilet. Benefits include the soap breaks down residue in the black tank and extra volume of water helps flush the tank when draining.

The KEY 2 Rain-X being effective is apply a generous amount and let it dry. Then, rinse it off. The directions are to wipe on, then wipe off. They just want you 2 buy more...kinda like using shampoo - rinse and repeat. 👍😃

I bought a square ceramic non glazed tile for my oven. It cracked in half and the first or second time I used it. But now whenever I go to use the oven I just make sure I push it together and it works just fine even with the crack. I may been on a bread and cookies a couple of days ago And it works just fine. It's been in there over a year now.

Jared. Thanks for the channel, I really enjoy it and have picked up many useful tips from you. Years ago I worked for a car dealership and the detailers there used fine steel wool to clean hard to remove particles from windshields...BUT, they used it with a lubricant (kerosene or a kerosene type material IIRC), which made a lot of sense to me. Of course it adds a step to the process by having to clean the residue of the lubicant, but these guys with a lot of experience swore by the process. And it really did work!

For cleaning windows, the steel wool is AWESOME for getting rid of water spots. Now when I use it, it's either 000 or 0000 steel wool. Also on windows, I avoid using a cleaner with an ammonia base, this can cause the rubber seals to deteriorate faster. I don't make the product or make money off them, but I use Sprayway glass cleaner. For doing work with a clay bar, I go cheap and buy plumbers putty. Cheaper and does the same job. For bugs, I'd suggest DE or as it's known diatomaceous earth. This will kill/repel bugs because it gets into their joints and causes them to not be able to move.

Thanks for the great tips! Tried a lot of solutions for bug guts. The Chemical Guys Bug/Tar remover in a spray bottle with a bug sponge beats all I've tried so far. The spray does 90% of the work. The really stubborn ones come off with a little effort with the sponge.

We use the Doby Soap Pads to get bugs off cars, 4 wheelers and our RV. They don’t scratch because they are nylon and you can use them for no -scratch cookware. They get the bigger gunk off without scratching. They have a sponge inside so you can dip them into whatever cleaner you use.
