Here is the simple recipe for the peach syrup.
Canned peaches
7 quarts sliced peaches
Light syrup - 1 cup sugar to 3 cups water
Medium syrup Dash 1 cup sugar to 2 cups of water
Heavy syrup - 1 cup sugar to 1 cup water

As a peach canner and my mom and grandma, we stopped blanching and peeling years ago, just give them a good wash and scrub to get the fuzz off. When you open the jar to eat, the peel slides right off.

Chloe being able to handle a knife like that was one of the first things I noticed. I have watched her in several videos do so well helping her mom. It makes me sad that more children don’t know these life skills. Priscilla is doing such a great job with her children.

When I watch you in the kitchen, I miss my Mother so terribly. Mom was a widow of 8 babies (14yrs to 5weeks old) She raised us all on a farm that her & my Dad bought before his accident. She NEVER complained. She baked, canned & cooked from scratch. Good old fashion cooking. She was are BEST FRIEND! Thank you! Now I have to go & have a 🍑 peach. See you next week. 🍁🌻🎃🍂

Priscilla, I just finished canning for the season. It is earlier than yours. I am in southern NJ. I have canned for many years and work full time. It is a lot of work, but like you, so rewarding. This year as food prices increasing, I am glad we had a good garden. Both of my children, now grown learned to cook and help me at home. I have a grown son and daughter. Sharing our culture is how we keep them fresh and alive. Creating memories is a lifetime of love.

I enjoyed watching the canning process! Further you don't have to give any excuses to anyone for anything especially with regard to the upbringing of your family except to your spouse and to Abba Father. I think you and Joas have done a great job with your kids and especially you because i believe mothers do most of the hard work with both home & raising of kids. And I have known mothers who have even gone out to work when it was needed. It does play a toll but in your case, Praise Jesus it has been a great home life. Great kids and indeed your Chloe is a great helper :) As always I say you are a good wife and mother. You remind me of the Proverbs 31 woman. But you don't have to live up to any image. Just stay in HIs rest and enjoy being a son in the Kingdom. You are BeLoved. Blessings in Christ Jesus.

Watching you can your garden produce reminds me of when I was a child growing up in Indiana. It was a huge job harvesting the garden at my grandparent's home and also a smaller yet abundant garden at our own home. All the generations pitched in and we really enjoyed the fruit of our labor the following winter. I miss the canned tomatoes and canned beets a lot. Good memories..Thank you, Priscilla!

It is a true blessing to have the Bounty of the land that the heavenly father has given us, and your child is a blessing all children are. Do nothing to do is not doing right by your children when they were younger because you had your hands full as a young mom. I'd like to thank you for the video you're the first person I've watched on KZbin and a long time that still water bath that's all I've ever done is water bath I've never owned a pressure cooker, I was taught by older Amish women how to can I have canned meat soups vegetables fruits all kinds of things and I've never had a pressure canner, I was wondering do you have any other cannon videos that you do not use a pressure cooker for thank you for your time blessings to you and yours.

I don’t can peaches anymore and I don’t miss it ! 🥴 I wonder how many peaches we used to peel to can growing up ? I was the oldest of nine and Mom had a big black iron kettle in the basement we’d build a fire under and heat water then dip big bowl fulls in the hot water . The everyday peaches got sliced the Sunday peaches were sliced in half and layered carefully pit side down in wide mouth jars and served to company . We eat them at will while peeling.

I so enjoyed watching this. My boys 14 and 18 have no experience whatsoever in this lifestyle and that makes me sad. But I get to watch your family and that is nice for me. I grew up in Melbourne Australia and never learnt to can food or store home grown food for winter. I now live in semi rural Montgomery Texas and I spend time with other families as a nanny and babysitter and are seeing how other families live. I am 47 and wondering what my next ten years will bring…

Yummy 😋 looking meal. And yes I am envious. My husband is on a keto diet so it is low carb meals at our house.😟I can almost smell the homemade buns and bread. And the cream cheese apple squares look scrumptious. There were no books in my day on how to parent, so we learned as we went along. If I had the wisdom then that I have now, it might have been a bit easier. I think one has to be kind to oneself and look at all the good things you do /or did raising your children, instead of the mistakes we may have made.along the way. And then you can say it is a great success story.😊❤️
