Matching the side seams with hounds tooth fabric turned out beautiful. Basting was so worth it. Thanks for another great lesson!

Thanks for the inspo. You also showed us how easy it is to hack a V instead of the round neckline.

That is a gorgeous cami, Karina and the pattern matching on the hound's tooth is 'chef's kiss'. Now, with your older rtw camis... if it's just fading colour, Rit's 'Back to Black' dye kit is non toxic, drain safe and easy to use. Granted, it wont solve other issues, such as thinning fabric or loss of elasticity, but if it's colour loss, you can rejuvenate your existing garments very easily.

As always, I learn so much from you! That cami is genius! I did use your instructions to hack the bralette to have a supportive bra and it worked perfectly.

Wonderful! I'm working on making a pattern to make my own cups with sew in bra foam.

Mmm I really don’t have the resources to Purchase the software to digitalise them. So it’s not something I could do right now 😀. But thanks for the encouragement.

What an AWESOME pattern hack! Thanks for showing this one, I'm definitely going to sew one similar to yours. On another note, you have mentioned in several of your videos about not being able to source bra cups locally.....have you considered sewing bra cups out of heavy weight scuba fabric? I've done this, you just hold the edges together and zigzag the edges together.
@onlyyours7252 жыл бұрын
I too would be interested in seeing how to make our own bra cups.
@LiftingPinsandNeedles2 жыл бұрын
So far I have not seen a pattern for that, so I am looking at drafting my own.

@@LiftingPinsandNeedles A pattern company from Canada called Pin-Up Girls specializes in bras and underwear. I have made two of their bras and they are marvelous. They also have several books out, and one of them is about drafting bras. Nearly all their patterns have cups that are pieced together. If you are interested, I can mail you a pattern or book.

i love it is it possible to make straps a bit wider?
@LiftingPinsandNeedles2 жыл бұрын
There is a limit to the width with the knit binding. If you can find 1” wide bra straps & rings, those than work instead of binding.
@patriciabarnes35822 жыл бұрын
Karina, my I ask what size binding are you suggesting?
@LiftingPinsandNeedles2 жыл бұрын
I put the measurements in the video. For the one with the fold on the inside, the finished width is 1”. They don’t sell these already made in knits… so you need to make them yourself.
