With my content (and subject matter)... people often don't comment much... they are often quiet and then reach out to me... over time. So it's often challenging to know their challenges.... unless we have a consultation or conversation. (I've had many over the years)

I’ve never like the funnel analogy. To me, it always seems to be squeezing people down through the nozzle. I like this example! It reminds me of a Medicine Wheel that Native Americans use here in the states.

Hey, that sounds interesting. #MedicineWheel It’s funny how certain things connect with us and certain things repel us. So what’s your next step? #Curious

@@Steven-Thompson My next step is what I did today when I realized I completely screwed up my usual Thursday tutorial video. I’m currently recording in Zoom, because of fatigue (recently diagnosed with anxiety and breast cancer recurrence). I’m an English professor at a Native American college and have to teach for 2 hours in a live Zoom for each class time, because of Department of the Interior regulations on what counts for attendance, so (supposedly) you’d think I could do it almost with my eyes closed, right? Apparently not. When my digital media kid went to trim the ends off for me, they discovered I’d done the entire recorded PowerPoint without turning screen share on. 🤦🏼♀️ I was going to just re-record this afternoon, but I only got 6 hours of sleep last night, and then your advice to just be yourself and show viewers that you’re relatable kicked in. Instead, I hit record on my phone, said I messed up, then showed a short example of the messed up video still on my computer (with the audio, so they could fully see what I did wrong for a few seconds), turned the camera back around to my face, apologized for no tutorial video on Thursday and said I’d keep everyone posted on when it would be done for real. We’ll see what happens! . . . As to Medicine Wheels, life is circular. We move through the seasons in a circular pattern. I like your fly wheel graphic; I totally get all the nuances of it without having to have those explained.

Good stuff here. I thought I was going to build a business, but watching and learning from your videos and *courage before confidence course* I definitely want to build my brand first (and as you teach, I myself am my niche). So I'm working on building my brand (me) first. And I absolutely love your methodology of servicing people: inviting people in via the CONTENT; nuturing through COMMUNITY; educating through CURRICULUM; and inviting them to become a CLIENT (when they're ready). I would love to join your Heartbrand Academy when you start it up, I hope its soon I need it! Btw, I actually like the name as it is, Heartbrand Academy. It's exactly what it is.

I've been following your videos for a little while now, and I have to say that I'm SO glad to have found you. I resonate with your energy and approach to building a brand (which builds a business). In the SEA of content that's out there, you really stand out to me. I'm a 51-year-old "golden handcuffed" corporate professional who's doing well, but I want to use what I've learned to help others. I've found it a challenge to break free from being a good employee, to becoming an entrepreneur...even just on the side. I'm intrigued by the idea of Heartbrand Academy and I'm also intrigued that you're doing 1-on-1 strategy sessions...not sure which way to go. Session or wait for Heartbrand Academy? Both? :)

Hey thank you for your kindness and continued support, I’m very grateful. It’s comments like yours that give me a real boost and remind me that I’m on the right path, thank you 🙏🏻 As for being your guide, if you want some clarity and to see how you can use your skills, knowledge and expertise ahead of the heart brand academy so you can slide straight in, then a coaching session would make perfect sense. I recently coached Laura (she’s here in my comments often) and she’s off an running with momentum ahead of the first group program. The choice is yours my friend, no pressure from me 🙏🏻

I'm re-building a community - Facebook was my platform, but I ran out of steam when it became so hard to reach people! My channel has exploded over the past 2 weeks since I started making talking head videos. It's crazy! And exciting. I feel re-energised. I'm sure someone else has told you, but your subtitles are calling what is presumably your ikagai system the "icky guy" system. And later on, "E-guy". Not quite what you had in mind!
@Steven-Thompson2 ай бұрын
Hey, it’s great to see your on a positive trajectory. And yes, it looks like we had a few challenges with the subtitles as I recorded on a different platform. It had embed the subtitles in the video so they weren’t uploaded independently like they usually are just another lesson to share in a video to help people.

I think if you pay for promotion like he is doing, you will get a few more comments. But KZbin is very difficult now. The channels that are doing well are sights about how to do well on KZbin. 😅 Or very unique channels like Kelly Stamps.

Whilst I hear you Kevin I will have to disagree. KZbin isn’t difficult, it’s might be hard to begin with, but isn’t anything? I get a sense that my reply will need a much longer response, maybe a video, but in short it simply needs more practise and understanding of the subject

Steven, I don't know if you ever read comments from 3 weeks ago, but I am NOT trolling here - in fact, it's the quite opposite! Your "No Niche Approach" video inspired me to start my "1Pence4Life" (life-skills) channel at 62, with 35 yrs of sobriety - but THIS video makes me beg the question: Can I ever hope to make money on youtube without "selling a product"?? I want to (hopefully) be a "light in the wilderness" for those who are lost and suffering in life - but I've spent too much of my life as a "poor, but happy Altruist!"
@Steven-ThompsonАй бұрын
I hear you, thanks for your comment. Yes you can, once you hit monetisation, 1000 subs and 4000hrs of watch time, then more videos keeps that wheel turning. I’m building a legacy business and that’s what I teach so hence the courses and leaving your mark on the world. Plus it’s quicker to generate short term income and build your business should you choose. I believe it’s dangerous and risking being beholden to the platform
