Great Job!! Steve Ramsey is a great source. I also made this push block, However after a very short time, I found it to be very clunky. JMO.

Good job. I think I would put those screws a little closer to the top so they don't accidentally get hit by a blade as you're running a piece through. Also, if the part of your wood that is touching the fence is more narrow than the distance to the blade, you should use a miter to avoid kickback. (When you trimmed the end off. That can end badly). Keep it up!

I'd wonder about either several coats of rubber cement, or spray on rubberized coating on the bottom. The reason why he (Ramsey)made this so wide, originally I think, was to keep sideways pressure in toward the fence. This might work fine plain, but some sort of thin rubber strip or coating might help with this. (..screw tips sticking through on the outside corners might work better).

After using for a while, I think I’d go with a different one. It’s okay but you have to change the bottom and catch strip pretty often.

ever consider using a zero clearance plate instead of that big gap one?

I think you should use glue instead of screws and glue another piece on top of your back pieces .could rune your blade or kick back to you…
