Great design. I'd make the base out of mostly wood so that the wood door doesn't stick out so much. If I saw a totally metal base, with a wood door, I'd be suspicious

The second guy tried to hide behind them but still got shot. Honestly it comes down to the element of surprise. As you notice the first guys instincts were to shoot at the sentry not run an hide. The second guy tried to get on the ladder and saw the box but was dead before he could even attempt to try and hide behind it. *However pushing the crates back could help tremendously.*

Thanks for the base, but i would reccomend putting more sentries to cover all the area or idk, if they are smart you can put handcuffs and hostile sentries will not shoot you. I raided crap ton of guys with that technique.

Russia, is the most effective map to do the base, cause is easier to place, just near a cliff, in PEI/Whasington/Yukon there are no cliffs, thats why Russia is better to do this trap.

As first you can raid it from sides , you can place down object (large metal plate) to protect yourself or even hide behind box you placed, or you can try to kill sentry faster then it kills you. But good video anyways

On the place off the plate that is covering the sentry you can also put a crate or locker depends on what storage you use so that there is a small chance for them to NOT be tricked... i personaly used it and when i put the plate on of them find a way to trick the tricker and kinda raid me... but when i put the crate they all go down and just die... AND that is how you get a free grizlys and stuff like that...

My hopes was they would see the crate and try to parkour onto the ladder. At this point they don't know a claim flag is present so they might think they can build back out. crafting a ladder is quick and easy. :)

As I told someone else trap bases are not ideal for living in them just ideal for farming loot. So if you use the base for an hour or two maybe killing a couple of people. I would pack up the sentry and take the loot you gathered to your actual base. Leave the hatch and door open so people can rome freely without having to destroy the base.

You do realise caltrops do quite a significant amount of damage considering how small they are, if you have about 4 of them it will instantly kill anyone that steps over them.

@tribros Gaming Sadly this is only effective the first time someone tries to raid it, and that's assuming they use the roof the first time. Even if the odds are good and they fall for the trap they'll just come back and not use the roof. Might be good for a decoy base used to trap ppl and maybe steal loot.

Yea it's definitely a trap that can only be used once per player, and probably for a couple of hours. I would try and trap people for a couple of hours and then relocate to an actual base. I would not recommend living in the trap base.

the 1 way glass on a metal window when you show us build it looks bad. if you see carefully it messed up the illusion of the ladder touch the ground. the wood base one at beginning is much better
