We are so blessed and fortunate that we live in a country where we have the opportunity to have homes, food on the table, clean water and clothing. If we always realize that not everyone is able to live as comfortably as we are here in our nation, we would appreciate all that we have. I try to never take for granted all that we have in our lives. As the saying goes, when we have dishes to do, we had food to eat. When we have laundry to do, we have clothing to wear. When we have housework to do, we have a home to live in. I thank God everyday for everything I have been blessed with and I appreciate all that I have. Thank you for sharing your day!

I passionately share your desire for beauty around you. Every room in my house makes me happy when I enter it. I don't have one thing in my house that I don't love. The same goes for the plates, cups, etc. that I use each day. I have to say I literally live for beauty. I hope you are training your older sons to help with the cleanup and even doing the dishes, folding laundry, etc. They need to know how to do these things and also how much work they are. I also hope your husband contributes to household "chores" on a regular basis. I am glad you take some time for yourself or things could become overwhelming. It is inspiring to watch you do your daily tasks in such a lovely creative manner.

Sometimes when I get out of bed and get in the shower I start thanking the Lord for a good nights rest, for hot water to shower with, for a warm house, for good food any other things as well. I find myself feeling grateful as I count my blessings. I too love to have beauty in my home and I try to have things I love throughout my home. I make my bed everyday except for rare occasions when I’m in a hurray. As always I love your passion for your home and family. I tried your recipe for the pork, salsa and nachos… it was very good and we have a little 7 year old who lives with us and he ask to have some in his lunch. I’m going to try your egg casserole. All the best to you and your family.

Making ordinary things beautiful really does help! Our basement laundry room is pretty ugly - just our machines in an unfinished room. I took the time to add a table, wicker baskets, and filled thrifted glass bottles with detergent and cleaning supplies. It makes a huge difference! I even added a faux plant. My husband saw it and said, "hey, that looks nice!" Thanks for the tips and inspiration!

I love having an orchid in the house during the winter months. They last a looong time and are easy to care for. Usually they last about a month and a half. So much longer than any other flowers. Seeing their beautiful blooms during the grey months of winter is such an upper❤

Beside keeping our home picked up and cleaned daily (maintenance cleaning, Friday is deep clean and Saturday is laundry day), I keep essential oils in the diffusers in the kitchen, living room and bedrooms, faux florals, live green plants (I am allergic to flowers so no real ones in the house), doing a quick spray of essential oil mattress spray on the upholstered furniture and curtains, making sure the curtains are fully open to allow light shine in (nothing better than sunlight, even winter sunlight brightening up a room), usually music playing in the background quietly, and always something either in the slow cooker or Dutch oven in the oven for dinner.

I always knew, from a very young age, that I wanted nothing more than to be a mom & to have a home to care for. First thing in the morning I make the bed, then get ready for the day. I always put on at least a small amount of makeup, this helps me feel like I can conquer whatever the day brings. I go tidy up the kitchen because I know my husband will have prepared himself some breakfast before he spends time having his morning devotions. I do my devotions while sitting in bed drinking my morning coffee that he prepares and brings to me. After getting ready for the day, I spend a few quiet minutes planning out my day. I’m a list maker, so will write some things down that I want to accomplish in the next few hours. When my house is as I like it, tidy and organized, I will spend some time sewing while chatting with one of my 4 sisters. Some days I will pick a specific room and focus my attention there to declutter and donate things that I’m no longer using in my home. My current project is my sewing/crafting room. In the afternoons, I take a short break and work on a puzzle. We’ve almost always got one going on a small table by the living room window. As I’m working on the puzzle, and enjoying the view of the fields surrounding our home, I silently pray for our adult children, their spouses and our grandchildren. I also take this time to be praying for friends and other family members.

Good Morning Andrea! I am new to your KZbin channel and am so very happy that I found you! I am a Pastor's wife and love following women who love Jesus and want to be the very BEST Homemaker for their family. Being truly called as a Homemaker to bless my family (my 2 daughters are grown with families of their own), I continue on to make our home as beautiful and cozy for my husband and I to enjoy our life as God has intended. I, too, believe that finding "joy" in the little things and even mundane chores will make those not so exciting things streamline as tasks we can be thankful for. Thank you so much for sharing you life with us. I look forward to watching more videos, and following your blog. You are truly a Blessing to me dear Sister! 😀Love, Joy

In the winter I find it very encouraging to make soup for my husband and myself. I usually make 1 or 2 soups a week. Then on busy days we come home to an easy-to-warm-up meal. Andrea, it's so true that the "little things" make our lives more enjoyable. I now make my morning tea in a pretty 🫖, usually have a simmer pot on the stove in the colder months and use my best dishes for everyday (we don't have littles at home.) Collecting and thrifting items that make you smile as you use them everyday is key. Of course, being grateful for things that we take for granted such as clean water, electricity, a warm home and appliances helps a person find beauty in the mundane. Now, to get the bed made everyday! 😇

I would love to have a pretty space to decorate and do this mundane chore. The garage is hot in the summer and freezing in the winter, so you get in and out ASAP. I do love my coffee in a pretty or seasonal mug. I recently found Cold Foam in a can like whipped cream at my grocery store! Its like having a specialty coffee at home. You must have very well behaved boys. There are very few moms who homeschool with 4 boys at home who get to put their feet up with a cup of tea everyday. Good for you! I bought the Blumene from one of your links a few months back - do you use the green light for wrinkle reduction? I've been using the red on my face and green one for my neck! I love your makeup as well, you look beautiful as always! God Bless you and your family.
