@@davidsmith6001 We have some Hooterite boys move in across the street. We call it the Hoot Frathouse. Constant vehicle traffic, 6 to 8 pickup trucks parked all over, weekend drinking binges, etc. You get the picture. For the most part, I don't care if they drink (although I KNOW most of the females attending the parties are under-aged) but the drinking and driving is a concern. In fact, one of the boys was drunk driving (allegedly), crashed and killed one of two of of his passengers. ANYway, one day they were drinking in the driveway, again I don't really care about that, but were playing some rap music very loud. While technically legal, it's not courteous to your neighbors. We moved into a cul-de-sac to get away from stuff like that. So I got out my little Bluetooth speaker (pretty loud for a small unit), found Luciano Pavarotti's greatest hits and played it full blast. After two or maybe three songs, they turned theirs down. Good, play your music, that's fine. Just keep it down to a reasonable level. Here's the link kzbin.info/www/bejne/g52mc3aClt6Vptk

Years back, in the days of picture tube televisions, I had an upstairs neighbor who played her TV loud and the bass was driving me nuts. After trying to be polite about it and failing, I finally had enough and hit upon the happy thought of plugging a power drill on the same circuit as her set and every time she'd turn up the volume, I turn on the drill. It played hell with her TV, tearing up the picture with interference. She called in a repair guy and I heard them playing with the volume. Of course, nothing happened while he was there. As soon as he left, she turned up the volume and I hit the drill. Eventually she learned that so long as she kept the volume lower, her TV was fine. It only acted up when she cranked it. So she became more sane with the volume control and her TV remained clear. Pavlov was right. There IS such a thing as conditioned response. :-)

In the hot summer (neither had AC) we could hear them clearly. Every morning at 6am they would get into fights and start screaming obscenities at each other, loudly. After being woken up by this hellish noise i ran and got my ex’ss large portable tape player and recorded about 5 mins of them yelling. I then turned the volume up to 11 and played it back.GF was laughing her face off. The yelling stopped almost instantly but i let the tape go a min. Turns out our upstairs neighbors were extremely amused and thanked us for doing it. About a week later i saw the two woman on our street and they passed me with cold stares and silence. It's all about management. Shitty management = shitty neighbors. Used to have good management here. Not anymore. I've been here over 8 years and I'm in a 2br apt. The lady above me is supposed to only have 2 people living there. Got caught with a 3rd (there are 7+ in rotation), she added that person. Now she still has 7 people in rotation living there. So I'd have to be living under a rock to be oblivious to their occupancy numbers. And if they cared about their neighbors knowing so much about them, they'd be more quiet. The druggies that lived there before them made less noise than they do. They bark facing my bedroom window and my newborn’s nursery. I can’t believe that we bought a house so far away to get away from the noisy lifestyle and this happens 😂 we came up several times before purchasing and the dogs were never out until the day we closed 💀😤 The worst part is that my dog isn’t a barker. She will if she senses danger or is being egged on to bark, but hearing 3 75+ lbs dogs barking at her home makes her bark back! But at least the neighbor’s heart stopping bass isn’t keeping us awake anymore like in the city

Gosh I hope you found a way around this. We also moved from the noisy downtown to a quieter neighbourhood ( or so we thought). When we viewed the house, it seemed very quiet, and the owner was there and said it was like that all the time. Well. Turns out that the school parking lot the house is next to, has nightly visitors who come with their car stereos cranked up with rap music. The police would come about 50% of the time. It got better but in recent years the cops no longer show up for loud noise. You have to call the city - but in order for them to do anything about it, they would have to go and knock on the door of the person who is being noisy. Unfortunately for us, nobody lives in the parking lot. Nothing can be done.

Just take something long and that won't scratch your ceiling paint. Drag it around your ceiling for several minutes at a time when they are being quiet. Wait for them to complain and say you'll stop when they do. Or get subwoofers and attach a microphone to the ceiling and slowly raise the decibels over time. Any loud noise they make gets amplified back at them and hopefully they will be trained to be quieter. If not, play some death metal or sounds of cockatoos screaming when they're trying to sleep.

After this incident, the wife would continue her usual screaming bullshit until the day I got a new set of Cambridge Sound Works computer speakers with subwoofer! One day when she was in the middle of one of her rants, I plugged my speakers into my Sony Discman (yes, this is a few years back), I inserted my Killer Dwarfs- Method to the Madness CD, set it up in the bathroom(common wall), put it on repeat as loud as it would go and went out for the next six hours. The kids were in and out of the house, helping out with the work, until their friends came for the birthday party. I'm talking loud yelling, throwing sh*t and a few times I could here what sounded like a royal rumble (fighting), I came so close to calling the police on numerous occasions because this would happen at all hours of the night I'd be woken up by slamming against my wall, someone throwing a pot or pan or something, screaming etc. finally after a about a year of that insanity they moved out, presumably into a trailer where they belonged and in moved another single man which at first I thought was a relief...dude turned out to be a total party animal playing LOUD music that literally shook the walls of my apartment, beer bottle noises, ping pong ball noises. fck. then after another year that moron moved out and a Mexican gentleman who was easily the best neighbor I had during my time there because I never heard a peep from him. of course I ended up moving into a house after about 3 months so it didn't matter but man what a fcking nightmare for 2 years I had to deal with the worst neighbors you could have how unlucky is that lol?

If that doesn't work then removing the electric meter from their home and tossing it in the woods where it won't ever be found works pretty well too. I was a market value renter in section 8 housing for a brief period, the noise was unrelenting. Figured out you got to fight flames with an inferno. I built a playlist made of heavy bass trap/rap music, Hitler speeches, Russian hard bass, and porn sounds that I'd blare while taking a shower/gaming (world of warships so a lot of heavy bass on top of the music). Was it a lot of petty effort? maybe... did I get called on by original noisy neighbors? Yes... but it finally made management listen after they didn't listen to my numerous noise complaints.

You could also get those string firecrackers and detonate them under their windows at odd hours of the night. These are packaged in 10-20 per box but are all separate. They have a 6 inch long string so you tape them to a board and yank. Boom! They're not loud enough that the other neighbor will hear them. You'd have to be closer than 30 feet to really hear them. When it's 1:45 am and they're snoozing, tape one under their bedroom window and yank the string. Repeat every night until they get the message. : ) PS: I have bad hearing in one ear but even that is loud enough to wake me up.

macky macky well unless your like right next to their router it's just going to jam the devices near it. As for pointing, it's not really directional, the antenna is a little copper wire on the board. FCC is Federal Communications commission. Theyre basically the police of any radio related things.

We've had problems with music. One neighbor downstairs, loved to blare music while he had sex. Unfortunately for him my husband has a big set up for music. So when they started sexy times, hubby played his own music even louder. Ruined sexy times, they complained but stopped blaring music. Another teen lived under us and when mom left the house he'd blare a radio station. So hubby used an fm transmitter. Listened and figured out what station kid was listening to. Broke in and with a mic ominously said "turn it down". Kid didn't, so hubby broke in again "I said. Turn. It. Down." Music turned down. Ever after that the kid would give us a really weird, confused look when he saw us. Hubby and I would ignore him but bust up laughing once we we're out of sight!

I have neighbors who live on a double lot. They host weddings every weekend during the summer and fall seasons. It’s so annoying because the traffic is horrible during the party days with cars parked in front of our house. If I had a party, I wouldn’t have any were for my peps to park. I wish I had a remote to turn off their power every time they have a party. That would be awesome. I’ve talked with other neighbors and they are just as annoyed as I am.

Yes, check and see if they need a permit, and have everyone park their cars on the street long beforehand, spaced to hog up as much room as possible, just enough space to not have room to park another car in between, but almost. And host a few loud, boisterous block parties, maybe with lots of bikers (people are so biased there, it should make the wedding guests uncomfortable, especially if the block party guests are hanging out near their cars) at the same time, and have your neighbors invite their friends, and start hours before theirs (and don’t tell the guests why, let it be natural). That’s just obnoxious. We have one guy that does the same, he feels his hella-huge flatscreen-mounted outdoors-should be available for us all to watch his favorite sports games while he has parties to watch them. His corner lot makes it visible all down the block. Yea. Pretty lame. He pretty much does it every weekend also. It’s like that lame chest-pounding thing that insecure men do, when an insufficient male needs to overcompensate for some sort of lack or failure of his somewhere in his life. Being that it is sports he’s obsessed with and obsessed with sharing with all, we can probably accurately guess where he falls short in life. He’s not the only one on the block, but he’s one of the more obvious. He has 2 rival chest-pounders who also overcompensate. This ‘hood could use some help addressing the E.D. issues that seem to abound. Maybe it’s in the water.

Best one I ever saw was a friend of mine. When the neighboring apartment got too noisy, she would pop in a cheesy '70s adult film and crank the volume. They came to her door once, and I watched her casually open the door after stripping down to her skivies, holding a rubber chicken in one hand, a bull whip in the other, and boldly announced: "You're just in time! Care to join?"
@misskim20586 жыл бұрын
It’s a good way to get rid of misguided-in-life, door-to-door proselytizers, too. Just say, “This is a nudist home, and you gotta respect the house rules, so leave your clothes at the door and come on in!” (A whip or two does help as well; an entire rack of them by the door is also intimidating). hahahaha, great video! I just found it, a little too late, because I don´t live anymore with those kind of neighbors anymore who made a lot of music the whole day. In fact, I had two neighbors who had those big loudspeakers and put different music. One of them Reggaeton and the other "Narco Corridos". It was like a competition between them. Imagine, I was teaching German online and I could not even understand well the converstion with my students using headphones. The sound was too loud. My students even heard that. If it would be at least one person putting the music I like I maybe could stand it, but it was just a loud mixed noise. I spoke with my neighbors and first they say, sorry, but after a while they even put more volume. Calling the police wouldn´t work either because I would get only more problems with my neighbors. So... I moved out of this place. Now at least I am living in a nicer place without complicated neighbors.
