From the comments it seems to me that those who do not appreciate this song, that's just because they have not been able to get into the mood. There's a fantastic groove here, especially the boost given by the funky rhythm of the guitar 1:42. The keyboards have a minimal midi sound, like the synth pop of the early 80s. That makes a perfect sense, creates the ambience. The bass line is heard very well. The harmonies of Jim and Sarah's voices, amazingly melting in each other, are perfect. Great song, Simple Minds hit the nail on the head here.

@CarloMassarotto4 күн бұрын
@user-pz1vn2pl5c No, what you say is not true. Ask a vocal coach and he/she will tell you that at that point everything is perfect, as well as throughout the song, there are no technical flaws of any kind in the vocal lines.

I discovered Simple Minds because of the song Don't You (Forget About Me) that played in a split second during breaks on the VH1 channel. I went crazy looking for the chorus of this song for years, but I could never find it. When I discovered Shazam one day I just had to wait for it to be played on a radio that I listen to a lot in my country that plays a lot of classic songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s and I finally got it.
