Meg and Samuel are kinda weird examples...Sam is really no more friends with Meg than Dean is, and Samuel wasn't a monster. He was certainly a dick, but not a monster, lol. But Madison and Amy could be more fitting examples. There might be more, but can't think of any at the mo. 😊

With Amy dean felt that his friendship and his mental health clouded his judgement. Amy was killing innocent people. Even though she did it to save her son. Fresh blood could be gotten from other places and she would have done it again if he gotten sick. He only felt guilty because he knew she saved sam's life. With Benny he died for being a monster and went to purgatory. Since he's been back he hasn't killed any human

The purgatory in miami joke was because there is apparently a gay bar in miami called purgatory. That's why Garth says balls

I get that Sam didn't want to leave Amelia, that he did it out of guilt about Dean and because the situation was getting complicated with her. So him snapping at Dean for calling her "a girl" is on point and in character if you remember how full of anger he use to be circa seanson 4 or 5. And I absolutly get why Sam is pissed about Dean not killing or wanting to kill Benny. What doesn't make sense is that HE wants to kill Benny so bad. Even with all this anger inside him (or maybe because of it) he usually is the compasionate one, the one that can put himself in others' shoes.

He's jealous of their relationship.. He's always been the most important person to dean and now he suddenly has benny, and has sort of set sam aside. At least from his perspective. He's been distant and cold and sam doesn't handle that well. He's always kept everything inwards and blamed himself/ hated himself for everything he's done or feels like is his fault. He's so jealous and hurt so he lashes out and wants to remove benny so he can feel like he's dean's "person" again

I think there is a misunderstanding. The primary "attachment" of a ghost would be their body. Usually, the stronger the spirit, the further from the body they can move around. However, if the body was destroyed, spirit still can be present if they get attached to an item close/important to them or made out of their body parts (also, if contains their DNA). So, any item that is passed down to people who were possessed only a secondary possible option. Since the bones still existed and were intact, they didn't find any reason to chase anything else after destroying ghost's body. But I understand why you'd think so, as usually we had ghosts whose bodies were already destroyed and ghosts were attached to an item instead.

Honestly, when I first watched this season I could not have cared less about mopey Sam and Amelia. I was still feeling bitter towards him for leaving Dean to rot in purgatory anyway. I know that Sam had no leads and Sam told Dean to leave hunting when he went into the pit with Lucifer, but I feel like this was different. The pit was planned. If roles had been reversed and Sam had just poofed out of there with Cas and Dick, Dean wouldn't have just given up. And I get why he compared Benny to Amy but that also felt different. He'd known Amy for a day, then didn't see her for years. He didn't know her anymore and she showed she was more than capable of killing anyone. Maybe Dean shouldn't have killed her, but Benny was different. They became brothers in purgatory and that's a huge bond. Basically this whole season I was like "Shut up, Sam" every episode lol.

Well, it always Sam has reminded about all his failure s, but when Dean does similar shit "he has his reasons" or "that's different"...I hate this hypocritical bullshit and it makes me be against Dean and I love that son of the ### ...so I blame it all on writers
