@@thatelevatorpersonfilms It might be helpful to explain the purpose of external alarm signals. Local areas having jurisdiction, or AHJs, can regulate what kind of alarms must be installed. Some require that in addition to alarms inside buildings, an external alarm is required. This is important for if people are trying to enter the building. If there were no outdoor warnings, nobody from outside will easily see or hear the inside. In a fire emergency, having consiste warning systems not only makes it easier for people to see, but if the fire department is responding and they see a strobe flashing they know right away there’s a problem. This can ultimately save lives too.
