Loved the video. I bought an Orx last month, but only recently was able to get out and use it because of the cold, and snow. Here in Utah where I live is also red dirt country, very highly mineralized. I have been using a Fisher F75 ltd for the past 5 years, along with a Simplex, and an Anfibio. I had settings on the F75 that seemed to do great in this soil. I went to a small lot yesterday where an old red rock home was torn down and tried it out. 4 of my friends and I have pounded this lot since they tore the home down last summer. The last time I went there I didn't find a coin. Yesterday with the Orx I found 18 coins with the 2 best ones being an 1883 V nickel, and a 1927-s buffalo that all the other machines missed. I went to another lot 2 days before that that also has been pounded to death and found a sterling bracelet and a silver rosie. The bracelet had been lost by a man in the late 1940's just before he left for the Korean war. I found his brother and today I mailed the bracelet back to him so it could be back in their family where it belongs. I am loving this machine.

I love the honesty of your channel. I have three friends that purchased the Simplex + and two of them put the machine aside and purchased a Nox 600 and the other friend sold his and went back to his Deus!

I see a whole lot of people selling off their Simplex that have higher end machines. I guess they must’ve had higher expectations than I did. I wanted something better than an AT Pro to be a nice spare or backup. It accomplishes that. I also have an equinox 800, CTX-3030, Whites V3i, and there’s still a place for an amazing deal like the Simplex. I won’t be selling mine anytime soon.

@@Mr.Technical77 I don't blame you. The Simplex is definitely a good machine especially for the price.

Thanks for the shoutout man. THATS IT.... I MUST GET AN ORX. I have tried the Simplex in the parks in the southern parts of my city and NOPE I am not going back with my Simplex, that soil is nasty red hot just like yours in Alabama but my soil has big rocks in it too so it makes it even worse. I love the Simplex but it still is an entry level machine.

I can’t wait to try the orx. Seems like it would be an awesome detector
@bassingwithawesomejohnson32023 жыл бұрын
How much does it cost and does it have good depth?
@Mr.Technical773 жыл бұрын
Just to throw my 2 cents in since I also have my eyes on either Deus or ORX, you can buy a brand new ORX for as little as $649. It seems every bit as deep as the Deus in most circumstances from the demonstrations I’ve seen, but you have less control over the parameters and fine tuning within its ranges of performance. I had the Deus Lite for a little while, but let it go when Equinox came out. Now that I’ve collected all the high end machines I was interested in I’m looking back at XP thinking I should have something from them to round out my Arsenal, particularly for its performance in iron laden sites. Up to this point depth and disc on isolated targets was most important to me, but now I have my eye on some cellar holes way up in the back of the Catskills mountains.

@@Mr.Technical77 you did a really good job summing up the exact reasons I want to give the orx a try. You actually helped me with a dilemma I’ve been having. I started out wanting to set my sights on the orx. But then I watched some videos on the deus lite. I started thinking maybe I should get it because it’s more upgrade able. But I think the HF coil and ease of use that the orx has is exactly what I need to learn the xp detectors. Now I just got to start banking my clad and pull the trigger when my funds are there. I look forward to hearing From You when you start using it. Again, thanks for your help and input!!! Stay safe and happy hunting my friend

Great video. Straight forward and to the point I like that. Hey I have all the detectors you have lol and I absolutely agree with what you say. The thing I love to do is to pick a patch of ground right. A good size or area and hit it with a frequency. Any frequency right. Search it good then switch up the frequency or lower it depending where you started and go over the same patch man I tell you I'm always pulling out different targets doing this, it's crazy. Then hey go over the same patch again with say the Nox in multi and boom watch the ground pop alive again man. Insane. Peace out brother. Cheers.

Hiya Rebel, good honest test video .. glad to hear you are pleased with the ORX, brilliant machine it is 👍 .. you may already know this but I thought I'd pass it on .. to make your ORX control box water proof .. I bought a waterproof case for a iPhone 4 from ebay, it only cost £3.99 (probably a couple of dollars in America) cheap an easy, no wet weather worries now 😊 .. if you look at Simon Read you tube channel ( video number 23) he shows you how to attach it to the ORX stem ... best wishes and HH Tina

Great video. And your exactly right. It depends on soil. On the red river here in texas and red clay I dig the signals that are deep by tone only. I dont care about vdi. And have dug civil war relics with my Simplex. And for the price and being able to hit deep targets on single frequency is amazing in itself

That little Simplex performs out of its skin for what is essentially an entry level machine; it's durable and water-tight too, but a 75, T2, Nox XpD/O it is not. What it does do is ask the question, " Are those top machines worth their tags?". Course they are, that's why they'sell in their millions; literally. Nevertheless, that little $250 tool sure ruffles some feathers; dun'i just tho'.
@FindingAlabama3 жыл бұрын
No doubt. Nocta decided on little or no profit to break into the market in a big way. I have one as well. I dont use it much but its a good machine.

@@FindingAlabama Yep, one of the smartest 'lost-leaders' in metal detecting history I reckon. Those Turks are real clever, shrewd business folks for sure. Their military planes show how ring-wise they are too. They are born fighters them Turks, so they buy 'born fighters' from General Dynamics and McDonell Douglas. Wise and wily. Turkish muscle machines for metal detectorists to enjoy freedom; American muscle planes for the freedom to exist without fear.
