Why not have the tuner letters facing up as you are looking at it? That is one of the great features about this tuner. The way you are doing it is driving me crazy...lol.

I just got this tuner, I LOVE it! I think I'm going to pick up the non clip model that screws under one of the tuning pegs and have the clip on for an extra or give it to my mom for her guitar.

I just bought a two-pack and am trying to figure it out (came without instructions). It doesn't have all the color indications on the screen as yours, but that could be because it's a newer/different model with slightly different features. What bugs me the most is that it sometimes takes ages for it to register the vibrations (yes, I did make sure it's on). Does it have any settings for alternate tunings? Even standard E flat would be nice to have.
@marklozano83883 жыл бұрын
this is the older version and it's better for one reason then the newer model. the version shown in this video has an on/off button that has a soft click that tells you it's functioning, the new one has a soft, rubbery, undefined button that makes it harder tell if it's on or off. It drives me nuts having to push 2 0r 3 times to get it going.

Hello, My name is Yvy, I’m wondering why my d’Addario headstock guitar tuner (the NS MINI) shows a F# for the B (2) string, it’s jumping from F# to B and back. From the start, I bought it for a month ago.
@BobSperber3 жыл бұрын
I have a problem with his tuner. The previous generation was a simple green display, and worked fine. I bought several new ones that are in color, and all of them have trouble picking-up low E. sometimes the only way I can get it to work is to play if you frets up, like a G, and then while it’s still vibrating straight to the open E. I thought the tuner wasn’t tight against the headstock, but that wasn’t it. Any solution you know of?
@heyitsmeian2 жыл бұрын
I'm having this exact same problem, I can't find a good place to put the tuner on my Taylor Mini-GS except for on the very tip of the headstock. The tuner has difficulty picking up the low E, which is kind of how I start tuning my guitar. Did you find a solution you could share with me?
@IRequireMedication2 жыл бұрын
@@heyitsmeian This is a universal problem. I have had several d'addario and planet waves clip-on (even the sound tuner), they all seem to have trouble picking up the low E string. It is what it is.

Can this tuner be used to tune to alternate tunings?
@flatfingertuning7276 жыл бұрын
I have one and I mostly like the design, except that if I put it in places I can see it, it has trouble picking up all the strings, and if I put it in places where it can detect the string it's hard to see. is there some sensitivity adjustment I'm missing?
@SimplifiedGuitar6 жыл бұрын
Hey, I'm not sure about sensitivity adjustments, but I usually put mine on the far side of the head, between the high E tuner and the bridge, and I haven't had any problems. I'm assuming that it probably needs to be tight on the head to pick up good vibrations. Maybe you can double check and make sure it's nice and snug. Hope that helps!
@flatfingertuning7276 жыл бұрын
I think what I need to do is come up with a spacer I can put between the tuner and the guitar neck. My guitar has all the tuning pegs on the left, and if I try to put the tuner near the nut the strings get in the way. With the right kind of spacer, though I may be able to get the tuner to sit over the strings. For some reason I wasn't realizing that a tuner can only be expected to work really well near the nut, but that's where you have yours and of course that's where the vibration will couple to the body.

This was my favorite tuner until they updated it and made it difficult to turn on with different graphics, etc. What a shame. I called the manufacturer and a polite person gave me a reason that made so little sense I can't remember it. Fortunately, I have 6 of the old ones on my banjos and one in a fire safe. Many sellers still use old photos so I now own 2 of the new ones that never get used. As for durability, I've had these tuners for as long as they have been made and take them on and off with no difficulty.
