Hi Shakira, We do teach a lot of the songs in the Key of C since a lot of our students are beginners. The Key of C is sometimes the easier key to pick up and go with. So enjoy your teaching style! Question.... do you ever invert chords to avoid bouncing around the keys? I am not sure when inversion is good and when it muddies the chord variances...

Hi Robert. Yes I do teach inversions in our workshop: www.simplifiedpiano.com/workshop For the beginner I think it’s more important to learn the simple chords in root position and then later on learn to invert.

There are a few songs that I show inverted chords. I use them all the time in my own playing but have found that keeping it as simple as possible is best for the tutorials.
