Your channel just popped up. My son is also a scout and for Easter this year, I bought him a new mess kit. His first one he had since he was a tiger in cub scouts so I felt he needed an upgrade, and last Christmas, he got a new sleeping bag because he barely fits in his old one now lol. He also got a new yeti water bottle last year for Christmas and now has all his camp stickers, etc on it lol. This year his troop just got new jackets so he is getting his jacket for Christmas. There is so much we can get them for scouting that I can usually find something for him, whether it’s a sleeping mat, new back pack, etc. all great gift options. I also home school so those are def things I look for as well. Thanks for sharing.

Some great ideas here-props to you for managing 4x7 gifts plus stockings! I tried the extended version of the 4 gift rule last year (Make, Do, Share, Me) and still went over board. With lots of hand me downs and a well stocked library Wear and Read didn’t work for us. So this year were trying Paper Town Home’s ‘Head, Heart, Hands, Home’ concept. Still 4 gifts.

So interesting. I haven't heard of the "head, heart, hands, home" concept.

Are these suggestions in addition to or separate from "Santa" presents?

I should have mentioned this in the video. My kids are getting older now, so I've found they focus way less on Santa than they used to. I think this is totally up to each family. In our family, Santa fills the stockings and brings one small gift, so these are suggestions in addition to. Santa gifts are fairly inexpensive and simple for us.
