my Roth currently has VOO, SCHD, and SCHG. i plan to re balance at 60 into SCHD, DRGO, JEPI and JEPQ to live off of dividends and contribute more.

my approach is fine over the long term, most important thing is to get started and build your income over time to continue compounding as time goes on. I did put in 100 grand years back and kept reinvesting, well diverse, now it's value over five hundred k and increasing.

If you ain't savvy enough, discuss with a FA. Im with Frost hilda. She's provides options to build on, Including high yielders and less hands on for you.

Three index funds might be an index fund ETF for US stock market, index fund ETF for international stock market, and index fund ETF for bonds. That's impressive market diversity.

I'm 32 years old and lost my dad about six months ago. I'll be receiving some money soon. Should I invest in stocks for a few years while attending business school and then move into rental properties, or would it be smarter to start with real estate investing right away?

I’d recommend seeking advice from an experienced financial professional. It might seem costly, but as the saying goes, 'you get what you pay for.'

I agree, investing with the help of an advisor set me up for life. Retired with about $1.6m in stock portfolio only. I max out my 401k and have few properties. I worked hard everyday as a teacher for 32 years, and my salary was over 100k annually. Supplementing my income with stocks and alternative investments helped me achieve early retirement.

Sure you can! Melissa Elise Robinson is the advisor I work with. Just search the name. You’d find necessary details to work with to set up an appointment.
