You're not the only one way behind, Tony. Thanks for the tour. You help show that it's okay to take your time, do things right, and not stress over a schedule.

Scott the day the garden becomes stressful is the day your doing it wrong. just do what you can when you can, so many things play a part in it thats outside of our control like the weather

Hi mate, despite what you think of being behind, don't forget the area of land that you are tending. The rising temps now will soon establish the plants when you get them out. Nice and relaxed presentation. Enjoy your time in York 👍👍 🌻🌻Nigel.............MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻

I think this type of video is inspirational especially for new gardeners. It can be intimidating for new gardeners to see the You Tube videos where everything looks perfect and tidy but that isn't the reality in every part of the garden, especially if one has a full-time job. I personally have been an organic gardner for over 40 years and I don't ever feel like i have enough time to accomplish everything I need to do. Well done!
@simplifygardening

Debbie thats one thing you will find in my garden, I show the good the bad and the ugly, there are many videos like this, we are not all perfect and if you have a team of gardeners and do it all day every day then it should be perfect because there is no excuse, but the reality of folks like us who have full time jobs a family and if your like me a ton of other stuff going on like filming, blogging writing books and running a business it all takes time and things sometimes dont get done

If you think your behind Tony, you should see my place! LOL. But you have all the veg ready and waiting to go out, the chickens are looking fantastic, the watering system for the spuds looks epic, so all in all ,as you say a few days and plenty of cups of tea and things will be back on track! I think us veg growers panic too much, I know I do. Keep up the great work, Shaun.

We just got all our bees ready for the winter so they have from now until next spring to undisturbed. Then got 1/4 acre of winter spuds in and believe it or not next years wall flowers. Caught out by a massive thunderstorm while planting them the other day, So behind on many other things though.

Thanks Tony another great video. Tomorrow we are harvesting some potatoes, a couple of pots of swift extra early and possibly 2 random ones, theres a main crop of some type also planted in February, but waiting probably 2 months for that one. The empty 4 tomorrow are getting whatever main crop we have in the cupboard. Got an overwintered pepper to plant, 2 trays of beets, 6 small pots of onions. Oh dear and a few tomatoes and cucumbers. Another small pepper and 2 hot chili (corner shop seed from dinner) but I think I will keep them indoors a bit longer, now it looks less like a jungle on my one shelf under the backroom window. Planted onions from starts (November seeded) in February, going to be playing plant Tetris soon in a single small raised bed

@@simplifygardening thanks, I thought I was pushing it, even on a raised bed and under plastic. We got 1.3 kg from 16 old swift I really didn't expect to survive. I was chatting about your videos today while we were working on it all. I thought the nearest allotments were too far away with my mobility issues. We found 3 that might work and it's been a beautiful sunny day gardening. Love your allotment, I dream of a large polytunnel or greenhouse, maybe one day. I would love to be able to grow enough to share, I have the time and its not like food banks are turning away food in the next decade or two 😢 ❤️🙏 Thanks for sharing your experience, greatly appreciated ❤️🙏

also a survivalist garden is a hole with limit light to some people but the plant remain hidden and the water table to roots is high even as it evaporate. mold will be an issue and i say your is to small for you plant such as potato. potato holes. this is great for making it look like no one is there and if you find the right spot with aquifer you never need to water.

It’s the sun and the weather that’s messing with people and plants. A lot of people I know are suffering bad from joint pain and other ailments. It also has to do with solar flares. It really does affect health. Check into space weather, it’s a real thing. It can cause heart attacks, seizures, strokes and a whole list of stuff including mental issues. I didn’t know this. Once you know it helps to understand what’s going on.
