The actual alarm system runs off of RF Signals. Each system has a unique RF Frequency, meaning its impossible to detect the specific frequency. Also, frequency disruptors for high frequency systems are near hundreds to thousands of dollars. The likely hood of a burglar having that piece of advanced equipment is very low. However, the older models had low RF signals (which are patched), which allowed for a 2 dollar device to block RF transmission. Also, alarm system signs prevent burglary's by nearly 40%.

In our neighbor’s house, which is a simplisafe alarm, it went off so loud at the afternoon today and I got scared. I thought some thief was breaking into their house, but it turns out that their security system was armed to home mode last night and someone was delivering pizza through the front door and the alarm randomly went off.
