simply abstract painting, for beginners, acrylic, inspiration, gloss varnish

Today we will paint a modern work of art. It should be simple in the composition and bring a lot of joy even for beginners. Using the wet-on-wet technique and the palette knife tool, you mix the acrylic paint on the surface and thus obtain many colour nuances. At the end, I add a "pep" to the picture and spread a glossy varnish in a sunny, warm yellow-orange. Mixed with a little yellow, the grey no longer looks so cold. In modern living rooms or in the hallway, placed on a sideboard, it creates a new highlight. The contrast and the luminosity enliven the room and the radiance, I think, always has a positive effect on you. Dive into the world of colours and let yourself be carried away. Just start and let go of everything else. Whether with the gold foil of your favourite chocolate or with old, worn-out calendar pages. Whether painting abstract works of art with a cake lifter or with a window squeegee. Just know how. If you don't have any acrylic paint, use the colours you have. It doesn't matter. Hi Petra Wow das mal wieder sehr gut gelungen . Mir ist aufgefallen , daß du seit einiger Zeit viel mit Acryl-Lack arbeitest. Und du hast absolut recht damit , das es ein Kunstwerk schön aufwertet . Hi Petra. thank you so much for the videos that you have shared online. I am 75, and a total beginner with art, I have always worked with textiles and fibres. I have worked through most of your techniques and have found you have unlocked in me a real desire to continue to paint. My favourites are this yellow and black abstract and the brown and white seascape with the 3 spikes. I have copied your work so that I could learn composition and colour etc now I'm ready to branch out. You tell us to put on music and go play with the paint but I play your videos as your voice is so calming and melodic - even though I don't understand what you are saying 🙂 thanks again. Hello Petra. Thank you so much for this video. WOW! I love this abstract... the warm yellow against the coolness of the black and greys... and the linework. It all works together so very good! I am 71 years of age and passionate about art since a little child. Over the years I have seen many paintings by many artists but relatively few making a real personal impact; those that do are the paintings that invite the viewer to dare see things in a new and different way... a fresh perspective. These are the paintings that make me smile and say ' Oh yeah!' 🙂 Marc Chagall said: 'If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost nothing.' Art communicates... expressing the passion, vision, and emotions of the artist. Precise learned knowledge, skills, and techniques alone without passion, emotion, and vision do not offer an invitation to leave the highway and travel the narrow road that leads to something new, fresh, and exhilarating. You are doing something wonderful away from the creative mainstream of must do's and do not's. Hello Collin, what you say is indescribable. wonderful. As a child I once read a quote, unfortunately I don't remember who said it: if I could say what I can express with my works of art, I would have become a writer. It shook me to the core, because even as a painter I would not have been able to formulate this sentence. And that one sentence said everything I had felt. From then on, I knew that there were more people who spoke this language. Communicating through art, actually not intentionally with others, but rather to answer my own questions, leads me on the path with each new work. The search for answers, the search for light. Guten Morgen Petra , das Bild ist Klasse mit dem gelben Lack . Das ist der selbe von den zwei Bildern vor einem Monat , oder ? Dann weiss ich jetzt was ich mit dem Lack noch anfangen kann 😊 Das Bild ist wunderbar für die Wohnzimmerwand wenn die Tage wieder dunkler werden und trüb , ein Sonnenstrahl für den Herbst / Winter . Ja genau Christina, damals hatte ich den Lack mit Weiß abgemischt, um ihn passend zu dem Bild zu gestalten, diesmal habe ich ihn pur verwendet. Du kannst ihn genauso verwenden, wie beim letzten Mal. Einen schönen Sonntag für Dich!!! :)
