I worked at an award winning Thai food place, and the chef there makes this chef look so nice and cheery :) as a sous chef and prep cook, I got my share of telling offs and getting yelled at, but it's all in a days work, you shake it off because seeing the customers enjoy the food and knowing you helped is a good feeling

I was very surprised to see this, I live in Teddington and went to Simply Thai many times. Just want to say that the lady (manager?) was very harsh, I’d sometimes hear her yelling in the kitchen. Unfortunately, I believe this restaurant has been replaced by some Italian restaurant. Great food though!

1) Table 3 please. Table 3. Oy! Well, if the server had immediately responded maybe the chef wouldn't have to repeat herself or shout 2) Plate. Now. Laura. It was obvious the plates ran out. If Laura had replenished the plates sooner without waiting for the chef to ask for the plates, maybe she wouldn't have been yelled at 3) Where is the prawn?! Where?! Obviously someone else was supposed to help prepare the prawns and that person had messed up. Can't blame others for shouting at you if you messed up 4) Wipe the plate please. Wipe the plate The stain on the plate was damn obvious. If I had to remind the servers to do something as basic as wiping stains off a plate before serving I would be pissed off as well

Amazing food? Probably. But I dunno if anyone want to work for her seeing she yelled at people like that. I know most Thai people work in Thai restaurant mostly because we don’t have much choice. I used to work with a Thai restaurant owner like her (hot temper, yell at people all the time). I don’t care how good she is. You don’t need to yell at or have attitude to people who work for you like that.

1. please wear a clean cook hat while you are working in a kitchen. no one want to eat a food with women's hair in the dish by accident. 2. there are 2 styles of Thai food, this is kind of Fusion Thai foods. as je said this is not a traditional thai restaurant. and the real Traditional Thai Foods are really difficult.
