I am a 63 year old kid started getting into the hobby back in march 2020 from the 80s days of the RC10 that me and my son have a lot of fun back then, The hobby is a lot better now days and I do started with Traxxas Rustler 4x4 vxl then the Maxx and the Xmaxx two 144001 just got the 124019, Arrma Big rock v3.Back in september got the EMB-1 and the EMB-T and you are correct on your comments because for some reason the EMB-T is my prefer rc to play and is good to know I am not the only one with the opinion about this car, Great video and let see how fast you can do with it. YES! Got to get myself one of these! Many have said why bother with WLTOYS if your intentions are to spend even more money on making it brushless just get one of these from the start and save all the hassle and the fact you are getting better plastics and components! I have always been against that but that's mainly due to me enjoying the tinkering side of things but this is impressive. Interested to see how fast it is ;)

This is literally just a 124019 chassis with brushless electrics - everything but the motor and control gear is straight 144001/124019 hardware

I see the tinkering argument all the time and don't really get it. I bought the EMB-T as a kit though. I made my own battery tray (I hate the supplied one) and still bought some more option parts...mostly steering and durability related but some for bling I do have a 144001 but so far left it stock. Mostly to hand off to anyone that would want to drive my EMB-T, not that there is anything wrong with. Oh, I just realized who you are, I'm subbed to your channel :)

I've had my truggy about a month it is a little beast. I did a shock oil change to 37.5 and offroad buggy tires. 3s!! Backflips for days!! Lol.

I checked online and the differentials are all steel gears. That's very good news. A lot of these metal gear cars come with zinc gears which are really not any better than plastic gears and sometimes even worse.

I've been considering picking this up from NitroRCX as the rebranded Tacon for a few years. My Mini 8eight T is a lot of fun but it has differential issues and the same motor that came in the smaller Mini 8 buggy so it's underpowered. Every channel I've watched has sworn by this LC Racing platform and it appears the Mini 8 2.0 I keep dreaming about has not come out yet so ready to pull the trigger soon...

I feel the same way, I have a mini 8ight buggy repowered with traxxas velineon 380. Tons of rpm and gpm parts. I've always loved that buggy and with all the hop ups and avc my mini 8ight is amazing but I'm too paranoid to drive it hard because of lack of parts. Just ordered this truggy with alot of confidence from all the good things I hear about it and nothing really bad at all. Parts availability seems to have been steadily good for years from what I'm told in the US so I can't wait.

@@michaelchristensen6884 , sorry, just saw this, yes, they will... pretty much every suspension, and gearbox item on these is interchangeable. The big difference is whether you have a short (1/14 buggy, 1/14 MT) chassis, mid motor chassis (1/12buggy), or long chassis (pretty much all the other small cars LC makes). Then the center drivetrain is different. Different driveshaft lengths, etc.

My WRC version is the same! Cracking car.A few subtle differences to the buggy,one being W|RC doesnt have the metal chassis plate as standard ,seems to be more a flex is your friend kind of setup.

@NOTREALLY HANKAARON wltoys brushed are not slow to a normal person. 30 plus on 2s..my first car i built was an rc10 35 years ago cost me $400 for everything.went 24 mph..i picked up a wltoys rtr 144001 for $70 to my door and it smokes my rc10 on every level ... and nothing has broke yet... all this stuff is made in china by the way...LC ,wltoys etc... if the screws upset you change them...

I would say it's comfortable with a 2200mah 3s pack, a 2700 will fit at a push but not hold in well. 2200 will be fine. Hope that helps. That said it's so light 2200mah lasts forever

How good can this thing actually be when the receiver is completely exposed. How much could a plastic water proof/resistant box for this thing be? One big puddle and it is done. It’s nice to drive when it is completely dry but that is not reality.

It is EXACTLY a 124019 just with a brushless setup. It is literally a stock 019 right up until you get the tohe motor/esc. This is one of the companies that takes the WL stock and slaps a better motor in it for a 'premium' cost.
