ANA has always been one of the best airlines in the world. One area that I think they can improve upon is the in-flight entertainment, but other than that when it comes to service, comfortability, punctuality, reasonable pricing, and ease of mind hassle-free there's few like ANA. Great Video!

I last flew ANA in 1991. SYD NRT LHR and return on 747 300. The nose camera was the great innovation for me at the time as well as the female crew changing into maid style uniforms for the service.

@@MatchaCocoaDog They seemed to have removed my response to yours for some reason. In my opinion, Qatar Airways Qsuite's are head and shoulders above ANA's The Room. More privacy, comfort and it's really worth the price. Their tag line for Qsuites is "First In Business" and it really is true. It's been voted the best Business Class in the world. Both are really solid though!

I flew ANA in April from Tokyo to Chicago. The only complaint I have is I was so excited to use the Polaris lounge, but they told me since I was not flying United on the way back I was not allowed access since it was an arrival.. First world problems lol. ANA is absolutely top notch though!

Regarding your plane it actually came in from a different airport in Tokyo HND NH112 then went back to NRT as NH11 from ORD. At a push become NH819/820 then back to HND via ORD as NH12/111

Nice comprehensive review. ANA's cabin service and outstanding flight attendants put them in the "top tier" of international airlines. Simon, your liver must be in excellent condition to handle all of that alcohol 😂. I used to indulge like that when I was younger and on long haul flights. Nowadays, if I did that I would be so sick and dehydrated. Take care and I will be looking forward to seeing your upcoming programs.

When i flew ANA the room from JFK to HND it was such an amazing experience. I did find the cabin was a bit warm. But. You miss trying out their ramen, it came with butter for the soup. But since then they have changed the ramen to a different flavor.

I would like to see exactly the same cabin layout and 777 The ROOM business class seats on their newer 787s if they ever choose to order even more 787s, like when 787-10ER and 787-9LR come out. Maybe then can order a whopping 100+ 787s, and a whole lot of 787-10s for domestic routes only. Thus it would be nice to have 250-strong fleet of 787s

They have already said that they plan to have 100+ 787s by 2030, but even more would be great. I want to see ANA launch the many European routes they planned to launch pre covid with those new aircraft, as well as add new destinations in South Asia and the Middle East, because Japanese airlines have always had a weak presence there.

This would allow ANA to get rid of 777s and 767s altogether on domestic routes and short distance international routes. It would also be nice to have reduced count of business class seats on international 787s due to THE ROOM suite seats on newer orders of 787s given it is profitable per seat, even more orders than just current 100+ orders. I meant to double the order book, potentially to overtake United’s orders of ~200 787s. They can potentially be one of the launch operators of upcoming 787-10ER and potentially 787-9LR for longest routes like to part of South America due to immigration from Brazil and Argentina

What is it like riding in an airplane facing backwards like that? I get motion sick easily, so I feel like it would be slightly disorientating (I can't handle riding on train/bus seats that face backwards). Or is it not really noticeable?
