I love the added trim in the dining room. I liked the table turned the other way with the hutch and buffet on opposite walls and the bar cart where the cabinet is. However,it’s your home and should be as you enjoy it, not as the viewers want it. I love that you change things around, I do the same in my home. I love decorating and have always loved decorating and changing things up since I was a child. Love, love, love you and your channel!

In my opinion, and this is just my taste, I think your dining room chairs do not match style wise with your table, I love your table, but you need to get chairs that are the wood and style as your table, the ones you have are stark and don’t look honey!

The trim work is stunning!❤i was thinking maybe sand down only the top of buffet to natural wood. Then it would be a beautiful two tone & not all black. I wouldn't put any blinds in there, looks more traditional without bamboo blinds. The window is so lovely ❤ BTW, i found a plaid vase!!❤❤😊oh, and change legs on china cabinet like you said.

The trim looks great Hollie. There’s always that one room in a new build that is a struggle. For me it was going from a separated living room to a great room, open to the kitchen. The living room furniture has been a struggle but eventually you get it to where you like it. 😊 I personally loved the bar cart on that wall by the brick but it’s your space, you’ll get it to where you like it eventually.

I can't wait for the final reveal! You have such a beautiful gift of style Hollie. My home's not large enough to move furniture around so I mainly use neutrals (taupe, ivory, brown) and then seasonally change it up by switching florals, pillows, candles and some decor. It's just enough to keep me from being bored. I added touches of black decor last year to ground things, but kept everything else still neutral. What a cutie Casen is and perfectly on cue for his sweet lil close-up!

Love the trim. Since the plates are so small they might look good on each side of the window. I still think a nice big round or oval wood table with 6-8 chairs is what will fill out this room best. Then you’ll have more space to move the credenza back on the wall and out from blocking the window.

🥗🍴 maybe a bigger mirror on the main wall and moving the small mirror somewhere else since there’s two mirrors on the same side of the room could put your sconces on the 2 small walls that would be a nice glow (ex: wall above the cart)

Just a suggestion........since hubby is electrician consider installing electric sconces on each side of the window. Your dining room is large and can handle the larger electric sconces and it will be fun for you to look in antique stores for something that will complement your chandelier. I love that rug. The chair rail and picture molding is very pretty also. I change my things a lot too , I enjoy decorating! Beautiful space. maybe consider: put sconces on each side of window , eliminate buffet since you already have black cabinet, since you already have small mirror no need for another one on bigger wall. Maybe try bar cart between windows and change out black dining chairs to something else. I'm sure whatever you decide will be beautiful. It is your space so enjoy having fun with it:)

Oh yes, switching out the legs is a great idea. Honestly I think it might be the dinning chairs that need to br changed but everyone is different. Yes on the bamboo window treatments but leave the drapes. Also love the lamp in the window, makes a home look cozy from the outside.
