homemade sausage biscuits

Hello everyone, I forgot to mention these are best eaten with in 6 to 8 weeks after freezing. I once ate a sausage biscuit after having been frozen for 3 months and survived. 😬 It also depends how well you wrap and store them. 😊

You've given me so many meal ideas since I found your channel a couple of weeks ago. I sometimes have to make substitutions, as it's hard to get traditional Mexican ingredients in my corner of Wales, but everything still turns out delicious. I am going to make these biscuits, and see whether they make a good substitute for scones, with jam & cream 😋

Great idea! Once it cools off and I can use the oven again I will try this. Was wondering why you need to cook the pre-cooked sausage when freezing it and microwaving later. I buy the Jimmy Dean and it only takes 60-70 seconds. I would think you could skip warming them up twice so as to not overcook them. Just a thought. Would like to see some freezer meals. Also love using yogurt in biscuits.

Greek yogurt! Awesome idea! That would give those biscuits a nice protein kick too! I'll have to try that. As for the biscuit tops, no egg wash or cream for me. I like to brush the tops with melted butter as soon as they come out of the oven.

I did make them! And now I've subscribed! This woman knows how to cook! Wonderful easy biscuit this makes, very tender and beautifully browned on top if you brush with melted butter like I do. The brilliance of rolling the dough out only once and cutting square biscuits! Why didn't I think of that! Who says biscuits have to be round! No gathering sticky scraps back up to reform and roll out again. Roll (or press like she does) out to a rectangular or square sheet, cut, and bake. I had to subscribe after trying these biscuits and her wonderful chipotle version of Mexican rice.
