Just a tip, but changing your DNS to Google DNS will affect your NAT type in some games and also means your information is flowing through Google, and we all (should) know that Google isn't the most trustworthy with your data.

Dude thank you SO MUCH!! For the longest time I thought that my ps5 was a completely wasted purchase. I got the console, Expanded ssd, fight stick and pro controller for this console (over 1k invested in it) and my internet was so terrible even though I knew my internet did not have those speeds that kept showing up on the console. I have talked with playstation support to no avail, but With your simple video my connection is now running at my service standard and my console is completely good to use now. Don't know what you guys are talking about my download is 850 mbps and my upload ranges from 150-200. I have Fios. People blaming the console, but don't read the service from most ISPs don't guarantee a gigabit for example from optimum. I had them and I had a gigabit and speed tests on PC and Console had me at 200 mbps. They told me they don't guarantee a gigabit but it can get up to a gigabit

I use an ethernet cable to my ps5 regardless of internet wireless speeds. Because it takes out any potential drops in wifi speed and that could mean the difference in a great experience or a poor one.

I’m giving you a like regardless because it seems like good information, however my ps5 speed has not improved as much as I was hoping after changing the primary and secondary DNS, my upload is still only like 15 mbps, and I’m really unsure how to fix it. Troubleshooting resetting the router as we speak, distance definitely shouldnt be an issue and I doubt wifi on 5gigahertz would somehow be better than a wired connection so I’m a bit stumped.

Also, your speed and his will be different so knowing his speed doesn't do anything at all for you. different location, different internet service providers, too many factors.

I have Google fiber. With Ethernet there has been multiple times my Ethernet connection just says disconnects and I get booted out of call of duty zombies losing all my gear. So annoying. Please keep in mind the 5Ghz frequency option on the ps5 will only work if your router/modem has 5Ghz

If you mean if you can use the video, it will be of no help, that’s for internet speed, if you refer to use your hard disk on the ps5, absolutely, but you will be only able to use it for ps4 games and storage but not play ps5 games, since the ps5 requires you to use a m.2ssd to storage and run ps5 titles

Get a cat6A, cheaper and still supports 10gbps at 300ft. cat8 should as well, but only with the same 10gbps anyways. The 40gbps are only 100ft max. Not to forget, the PS5 anyways only has a 1gbps ethernet port.
