But really, every rendition of this song is absolutely amazing. The audio/lyric videos let you pay more attention to the meaning in the words and how much pain an entire group of people have suffered from the church. The music video is able to portray that idea into something visual and is almost unbearable to watch, not in a bad way, but only because it shows the fear and discrimination against same-sex couples in a very real and terrifying way. And now this, an instrumental cover, adds even more to the song. The idea of an instrument, something viewed as beautiful and gracious being broken beyond repair yet still being able to make such beautiful music is perfect to what the song is trying to convey. This just shows that there’s no limit to how much passion can go into one song and that the most meaningful music pieces and songs are the ones with a portrayal of something incredibly important and painful that we may not want to face. I could listen to this forever.

I'm the type of person who respects. But the depth of the song is the redemption of sins in general. It is not the Church, it is optional if you go or not, God makes no exception for people. Marriage is not for everyone. As it is written. But I always respect the community because they will have their reasons to be of one orientation. I hope my comment does not offend anyone.

They'd get a bit more exposure sure, but that show is trying to get people who aren't famous at all pretty much but should be and expose them, it they allowed artists that are already doing good to come on, it'd make the people who have no other exposure get pushed under and fail.

Thanks for replying to an almost 1 year old comment and giving me a notification with a comment where you didn't even bother explaining or anything. Name how many people have ever gone on any of the got talent shows from any country that had over 400K subscribers, followers, etc *before* going on the show? You may be able to find a handful, but they won't be on that often. If you have a contestant with half a million followers compete against others, that contestant has a massive advantage over the others, not a large enough advantage to matter if they suck and the other contestants are amazing, but if they have enough skill, they can go farther than others in the competition just due to having an existing fan-base compared to more obscure contestants which may deserve it more.

I would have felt awful destroying these instruments. Just think about how much joy they must have given someone in life and for me it feels kinda disrespectful destroying these. I know there couldn’t be repaired but it still hurts
@spellwing7773 жыл бұрын
@@diebekiffteblaueraupe6489 They were donated for this very purpose man. The people that used these WANTED them destroyed. IDK what your issue is.
@diebekiffteblaueraupe64893 жыл бұрын
@@spellwing777 I know that it was okay to destroy them but at least for me it hurts to see and I would not be able to do this by myself.
@zoea31423 жыл бұрын
I mean, I felt bad when I saw them like that. Like @die bekiffte blaue Raupe said, it feels kind of disrespful to destroy them. Idk though, maybe it's just cause I play cello.

*"Take Me To Church"* My lover's got humour She's the giggle at a funeral Knows everybody's disapproval I should've worshipped her sooner If the heavens ever did speak She's the last true mouthpiece Every Sunday's getting more bleak A fresh poison each week "We were born sick" You heard them say it My church offers no absolutes She tells me "worship in the bedroom" The only heaven I'll be sent to Is when I'm alone with you I was born sick, but I love it Command me to be well Amen, Amen, Amen Take me to church I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife Offer me that deathless death Good God, let me give you my life [x2] If I'm a pagan of the good times My lover's the sunlight To keep the goddess on my side She demands a sacrifice Drain the whole sea Get something shiny Something meaty for the main course That's a fine looking high horse What you got in the stable? We've a lot of starving faithful That looks tasty That looks plenty This is hungry work Take me to church I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife Offer me that deathless death Good God, let me give you my life [x2] No masters or kings when the ritual begins There is no sweeter innocence than our gentle sin In the madness and soil of that sad earthly scene Only then I am human Only then I am clean Amen, Amen, Amen Take me to church I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife Offer me that deathless death Good God, let me give you my life [x2]

Nay Mraz It's not that really, It's the fact that the instrument that I just saw the instrument that I've played for years just get obliterated, even if it was broken beyond repair, not something you get to see on a regular basis.

They've already broken..apparently a company that repairs instruments had ones that had no chance of repair and just donated them
