@@anaclaudiagarciacalderon192 Not sure how familiar you are with Digimon, but the next set is very season 2 inspired with the introduction of dual colors, DNA digivolution, and armor digimon. And right after that we get the next side set, which is in celebration of anniversary of Digimon Tamers (the third season). Full of nostalgic evolution lines like Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, and Impmon, as well as the D-Reapers.

My favorite alt art in this set is easily Dorumon. Unfortunately it seems to be a lot of other people’s’ favorite too since the price is insane lol. PS personally super glad to see you opening digimon cards, I started following you a while back when I was still into Yu-Gi-Oh! but I haven’t been as into it lately. I feel like digimon is getting slept on because you always get a big chunk of the booster boxes value back in the secrets or alternate cards you can get. Some sets are better then others but it’s still better then Yu-Gi-Oh imo for buying booster boxes

Alternate Art Dorumon has got to be my favorite. As one who has played multiple other TCGs competitively, I recently got into the game and I think it genuinely has the best pacing and some of the most fair gameplay I have experienced in a card game.

@@kiranearitachi I’ve only been playing for a month or so now but here is a quick write up I made elsewhere on how I feel so far I have previously played competitive magic in the past and casually, as well as I currently play competitive Yugioh and I have played pokemon, dbz, and flesh and blood. Within the last two weeks I have picked up playing digimon. Digimon without a doubt has been not only the easiest card game to pickup and learn, but I genuinely feel as though the game has the best fluidity and pacing in any trading card game I have had the privilege of touching. In most card games, card advantage is what objectively wins you games, within digimon I never feel like I am stuck playing from behind. The dichotomy between being able to draw a card every digivolve (which keeps your hand fresh and always changing) and the limits of the memory mechanic is incredibly well done and I appreciate it thoroughly. In Japan the card game is ahead by 2 or so sets, but on the digimon website they have English translations that are supported so you can read them and decide how you want to prepare to play for each set coming out, which I feel makes each purchase a better investment. Objectively, this is one of the cheapest card games, sure every tcg has some expensive cards here and there, but you can absolutely build a competitive deck under 40$. Above all else, gameplay feels fair. I don’t feel like I am guaranteed a loss for going second, The security mechanic adds a fun gamble to the gameplay that can turn a game around within seconds so even if you are falling behind a little bit, there is a solid chance you can come back. TLDR: I have played a lot of trading card games competitively and casually over the last 15 years, this one has already climbed up the ranks to be a favorite. (Some Pros summed up, I genuinely can’t think of any cons) • ⁠Game is fun and easy to get into • ⁠Inexpensive • ⁠The best game pacing of any tcg imo • ⁠Unlike Yugioh you can take more than 1 turn • ⁠Looking forward at the next 2 core sets, I feel like the cards I have now are only getting better (speaking of x-antibodies in particular) • ⁠The community feels fairly positive with little to no toxicity • ⁠For a newer card game there are some solid resources available online

@@thesatiricalmoose6452 I agree with most of that as someone who has played magic since original theros and has dabbled I'm yugioh in the last 3 years Digimon is very fluid like you said the only thing I ever get mad at is not drawing rookies but that's a small thing that doesn't even matter most of the time

@@kiranearitachi Unfortunately bricking and not drawing the cards you want is apart of every card game, worst case in magic, full hand of lands and nothing to do, worst case in digimon, guess I will have to hard play a level 4+ for 4 or more memory, even in your bricky hands there can still be options

I got lucky and pulled close to max value off the Susanoomon standard and the Lucemon alt art, but lowkey my favorite foil art I pulled was Weregarurumon standard, and the commons and rares in this set are great. I'm honestly a huge fan of the Adventure era common arts by Koki, never thought I'd see a cute Shellmon

Every box is a combination of 2 secret or alternate arts. Says so on the box, but also experience. Also you get 7-8 SR's per box. In Bt7 in addition you get up to 5 champion rare which are the tamer + digimon cards. They already have gold cards for digi. More rarities than DBS
