Physics master's graduate here: The maths for the Higgs Boson existed for years before it was actually discovered. We knew what the mass was supposed to be and looked for a particle that matched. My guess is that they just used the papers that had already been written on it to make it accurate in the show. I've seen some other comments saying overwise but this was my first thought!

The equation shown with numbers to the power of 12 isn’t actually true, it’s meant to be a disproof of Fermat’s last theorem, but the numbers used just happen to be very close to being correct. I’m not sure on the higgs boson part of the prediction, but I imagine that while the particle hadn’t been discovered yet the equation wasn’t necessarily specific to the god particle and the guy in the video is just making it seem crazier than it actually is
